The research is supported by qualitative analysis of the peer-reviewed literature on the subject matter and is used to deduce patterns of commonalities among these studies with reference to different segments. A critical analysis of available literature helps in understanding that most of the chemicals present in household items like clothes, furniture etc, are either unidentified by Environmental Protection Agency or fall under the non-risky category on the basis of the number of toxins present in individual items.
