Number] Women Jealousy Introduction There are certain behaviours of human beings which are quite evident from everyday proceedings; jealousy is one of it. The jealousy factor leads to anger which can bring terrible impacts on the society and an individual’s life. The desire to dominate over others and reach governing position among the civilization is the goal of a jealous personality. The emotion of jealousy can prevail in any person, at any stage in life, but women take every matter personally; that is why researchers have indicated greater jealousy element in females. The notion of jealousy is found more in women than in men. There are several reasons of this emotion prevalent in the respective gender and on a wider spectrum, it can be stated that women have the tendency of having resentful feelings for others, promptly (Wiederman and Elizabeth 124). The purpose of this paper is to understand that what the basic factors of jealousy in women are; is it an engraved behaviour or arises due to the various factors around. The paper exemplifies the psychological factors attached to this dilemma. What is the impact of jealousy on the society and why this behaviour is common in women than men? The core issues and responsive behaviours of men on women jealousy are also elucidated. In the end, some recommendations are also illustrated to overcome jealousy. The conclusion of the paper summarizes the whole paper concisely. Engraved Natural Behaviour According to Tagler (2011, p.698) the jealousy feeling is a naturally engraved behaviour in women. They are attracted towards a certain thing very quickly and have utmost desire to gain it as soon as possible. The quest of attaining that certain thing and reaching foremost spot in the world is the lust of every woman. The studies conducted on women psychology clearly indicate that women are eager to get their desired object and are mentally prepared to surpass all the obstacles. This enthusiastic and willing behaviour is not common in men as they are found patient and tolerant. The jealousy of women with each other starts even by wearing same colour of clothes. Married or committed women do not want their men to converse with other women. The conversation session of men even with female colleagues is not cherished by their respective wife, partner or girlfriend as they have distrustful feeling that men will fall in love with her and will leave them. Such common observations can be seen around throughout the world. The claim that women living in developed countries and especially working women have minimal jealousy level is totally wrong. Women’s living anywhere in the world, in any capacity has jealousy feelings inside her. The tendency of jealousy in working women is less as their attention is diverted due to job roles but jealousy element lies in them naturally (Levy and Kristen 170). Difference between Sexes The characteristics of men and women are different by nature. There are many shortcomings and virtues in males and females. The jealousy emotion is found both in men and women but greater rate of this behaviour is found in women. This is because of numerous insecurities which women believe they have in their lives. Due to jealousy, women are distracted from their scheduled tasks and keep on thinking about the jealousy event. Distractions have affected women lives tremendously and they have become psychologically and physically ill. Men’s jealousy is not of severe nature and they do not go profound. Women due to sensitive nature are more emotionally attached to things (Buss 106). Men jealous behaviours are not quite evident as of women. They try to control their emotions and are not distracted like women. The pace of work goes steady and they forget about jealous events. Men jealousy is not rigorous while women jealousy may direct to confrontation and quarrel. Women jealousy is not healthy for the nations as they have key role in building societies. Patient and tolerant behaviour of women is necessary as sound women can create powerful nations (Wiederman and Elizabeth 132). Women Jealousy- Reasons The nature of women is very susceptible and they cannot consider incompetent or bungling woman on a dominating position. The fear of loss is ordinary in women psychology. Most of the women believe that they’ll be sent to the wrong direction and will get lost. The feminist impact on everyday women living has played its major role. The feminist theory suggests that men escort women to the wrong direction and they eventually get lost. The presence of strong mind and soul must be there in every woman. They must be able to face every hurdle in life with confidence and dependency on men should be eradicated. Women also believe that they have been betrayed by the society. Not only have they considered betrayal by men, but also from women too. This is due to swiftness attitude of women; they are generally impatient about deductive reasoning (Harris and Nicholas 365). The self esteem level of women is usually low than men and they remember their each and every loss for a long period of time. The sensitivity of women behaviour is a natural phenomenon due to which sometimes jealousy arises between them. Women work hard in every capacity of life and therefore expect more from the people around them. The women role in building of the society is colossal but if their rights are violated and feelings are hurt, than it is obvious that jealousy will rise in their attitudes. The uncertainty element lies in women; they are not sure about the upcoming scenarios and make hypothetical reasoning in their mind and start believing it as the truth (Pines and Ariella 69). The inferiority complex is above all the jealous feelings in women. Every woman strives to look best and attempts to reach a prestigious position among the society. The women around their social circle are their biggest rivalries and they try to beat them in every aspect. Even some of the best female friends struggle to beat one another in the walk of life. The distrust issues in women are found general. They generally start believing individuals very quickly and also bring sceptical ideas in their minds rapidly. The motivation to improve changes the livings of women. They try to perform those tasks which are out of their capabilities. The disapproval feeling exists between their soul and it escorts towards jealousy (Buunk 137). Psychological Issues The psychological issues in women are reported more than men. The emotion of jealousy holds a prominent position in the psychological problems rampant in women. Most of the women are sexually jealous and reach devastating stage of life due to such resentful behaviour. Women are emotionally attached to everything they posses and want to posses. The recognition of not getting something is not widely accepted in them. Women eventually have psychological issues which need to be cured in time. Imagination of mind is the name of the game in jealousy. Women create hypothetical field in their minds where everything is set as per their aspirations. The perception of reality is not faced by them if things don’t go as per their imaginary field and ultimately psychological disorders arise in them (Buss 42). The trepidation of losing something significant lies there in women nature. This accompanies towards jealousy and psychological issues emerge. The psychologists have introduced various tests to eliminate jealousy behaviour in women as mental retardation rate is frequent in women. The tests allow them to divert their attention from the issue and gradually women forget about the matter. The results obtained till date are satisfactory and positive impact on women mental health has been experienced. The minimization in jealousy can thus take place by the psychological testing mechanism (Paul, Mark and Jianna 415). Types of Jealousies Women get themselves involve into different kinds of jealousies which are very difficult to understand. The jealousies can start even from holding of a pen till getting sexually involved with someone. There are no limits and boundaries in women jealous emotions. Women are jealous mostly because of the dressing. They prefer to comment on every lady’s suiting and deep down jealousy behaviour prevails in them. The sexual jealousy has huge connotation in understanding this concept. Women do not want their men to be involved with any other lady and keep an insight on men’s everyday proceedings. The sexual jealousy is the most critical one and researchers have indicated it as noteworthy type of jealousy (Tagler 701). The sexual jealousy behaviour also prevails in men at a considerable rate. Men are involved sexually with several women at the same time but do not want their partner, wife or girlfriend to get sexually seduced from someone. Women cannot imagine of sharing their men with any other women. Women’s involvement with some other men is not at all tolerated by men. Women also can’t see men with other women; men’s talking with women at any place is not generally accepted by women (Buss 91). Impacts on the Society The emotion of jealousy can be seen by certain individuals and it is hard to hide. Women jealous behaviours have laid negative impacts on the society. The flourishing societies eradicate jealous attitudes and require each and every individual’s effort for the development of society. Jealousy can be observed by the people around and in the workforce; jealousy is watched with hawk eye. Employees create perception about the jealous individuals and avoid talking to them. They are not involved in the decision making process and management avoids their role in any critical stage. Issues in organizations emerge due to jealous women as it has direct impact on their work (Buunk 135). The organizational structure is established to persuade business operational activities but women involvement in job roles creates problems. Jealousy with women colleagues is found in most of the firms and management takes serious decisions due to these dilemmas. Mothers are the backbones of nations and have great influence on child upbringing. Child adopts all those characters which are evident in everyday proceedings of his parents. Jealousy factors in mothers would lay an impact on child’s mind and he can develop such emotion later on in life. The intervention of optimism in women’s life is indispensible (Pines and Ariella 59). Conclusion The literary work of researchers have made quite evident that jealousy in women is not healthy for the upbringing of nations. Jealousy creates impatience, anxiety and nervousness that can lead to terrible mental diseases. Women jealousy rate is higher and it needs to be controlled. Thinking about each and every object and envying with them can isolate women from the society. The element of jealousy is naturally set up in every human being but women are found more jealous. Feminist impact on the society is colossal and in the developed countries where feminism has widespread its operations; jealousy is found more. Feminist women are not jealous from the worldly possession of things; in fact, their jealousy lies in attaining and sustaining leading roles in the societies. Women sexual jealousy is enormous and sharing of their men cannot be imagined by them at any stage of life. The check and balance of men’s activities is done precisely by women, as insecure feelings lies in them. Psychologists have worked out on the women psychological issues and have discovered that jealousy is the most dangerous one. It can change women philosophy and actions. The development of psychological tests for reducing jealousy has foremost consequence which cannot be neglected. Women can overcome jealousy by taking certain steps. The recovery of personal powers is the first measure, as controlling emotions is vital. The control of emotions would actually help them from taking any reactive measure, which may not be suitable. Any distraction in this regard can be very helpful. Focusing on the event which may bring out personal emotions and rise jealousy level is strictly prohibited; therefore thinking about any other interesting thing is imperative. Every woman has set of beliefs and diverting thoughts on belief system can help in the annihilation of jealousy emotion. The wrong beliefs about events must be washed away from mind and optimistic thoughts invasion is important. Having self believe is a essential and every woman should mind her own business. Women’s must try hard for the betterment of societies and suppression of jealousy is the primary measure to be taken. Work Cited Buss, David M.
