?Fibromyalgia Introduction Fibromyalgia is a chronic health defect cause by rise in the intensity of pain in several areas like muscles, joints and cellular tissues. Other than making the body suffer from the incidence of acute pain the occurrence of the ailment also amounts to other side effects. A survey reveals that around 6 million people in the region of United States are greatly affected by the incidence of the ailment. The physicians detect the incidence of the ailment through the study of different symptoms and characteristics reflected by the occurrence of the disease. However, Fibromyalgia has different set of symptoms which vary from person to person and thus difficult to get detected easily. Doctors around the world are working to formulate new blood rests that would help in detecting such ailment in a maximum number of individuals (Dellwo). The Symptoms of Fibromyalgia Persons suffering from the incidence of Fibromyalgia suffer from acute pain all over the body and hence feel highly exhausted in comparison to normal persons. Thus persons suffering from the ailment fail to perform the desired level of physical activity and complain of getting tired. Further, higher intensity of the disease in some individuals makes them suffer from the symptoms like forgetting things in a frequent manner. This happening disturbs their mindset for which they lose or have to quit their present jobs. In addition to the mentioned symptoms the occurrence of Fibromyalgia also lead to events like pain in the chest, stiffness of the limbs in the morning, psychological ailments like depression and other ailments like sleeping disorders. Fibromyalgia also gives rise to some additional symptoms like cramps in women during the period of menstrual cycles, problems in vision, reeling and heavy pain in the head, gaining of body weight and other skin related problems. Further the patients suffering from the ailment of Fibromyalgia also become susceptible to typical problems caused by hormonal changes. Owing to hormonal changes the patient suffers from metabolic dysfunctions and mental disturbances. The patients suffering from the incidence of severe pain and stress also suffers from nervous disorders leading to paralysis or stroke in some cases. Immune system of the patients suffering from the disease also gets highly affected leading to the propensity of ailments like rheumatoid arthritis to affect the body parts (Dellwo; Fibromyalgia-Causes). Causes of Fibromyalgia Fibromyalgia as an ailment is very difficult to detect by medical team round the world for its link with acute pain ailments. Specific causes of the disease are very difficult to trace by the medical practitioners. However, it is considered that severe injuries in the physical body, incidence of high amount of trauma and even greater susceptibility to viral infections can lead to the occurrence of the ailment of Fibromyalgia. Again some other medical experts also opine that Fibromyalgia’s relation to the occurrence of pain is because of the emergence of a stressful environment in the body mechanism. Moreover, the incidence of Fibromyalgia also happens to reduce the reception quality of the brain to the use of painkillers. Thus the pain of patients suffering from this ailment does not get reduced even after taking painkillers. Henceforth, the patients suffering from the disease are found to be more prone to the events of depression and fatigue (Fibromyalgia-Causes). Diagnosis of Fibromyalgia The complexity of the disease leads the medical team to feel the trouble in easily diagnosing the disease in the patients. Diagnosis of the ailment becomes a difficult topic for there is a huge lack of effective blood and x-ray tests which can easily indicate the disease within the body. Hence the medical teams operating round the world through their increased knowledge and experiences about the ailment endeavor to diagnose the disease. The medical practitioners versed with the different features of Fibromyalgia can detect and diagnose the occurrence of the disease by inspection of certain body points which become highly sensitive for the disease. Doctors also recommend blood tests of different natures to exclude the happening of the aliment from other physical dysfunctions like thyroid, liver ailments, and arthritic tendencies to name a few (Shiel) Treatment of Fibromyalgia The complexity of the ailment of Fibromyalgia leads the medical time to devise specific treatment parameters for the disease as to be different for different persons. Whatever may be the type of treatment offered to cure the ailment doctors increasingly prescribe the systems of generating mass awareness of the disease, reduction of the element of stress and maintaining a regular stream of exercise with a balanced diet as supports to the curing methodology. Hence firstly the patients must be made increasingly aware of the various causes and symptoms of the disease to help them erode the fear from their minds. The patients rather must gain the mental strength to cope up with the various problems rendered by the disease. Secondly through the method of stress reduction the patients can become less tired and even the conditions like frustration and depression can also be reduced in them. Thirdly, the practice of continuous exercise helps the person to reduce weight and also helps one to maintain adequate levels of body energy to counter the problems. Incidence of a proper dietary mechanism helps the individual to get an adequate level of sleep and reduce the incidence of becoming tired and exhausted. Use of medicines to cure the ailment consists of providing the patient with anti-depressant drugs to reduce the effects severe depression brought about by the disease. Other drugs which help in reducing the pain of the muscle tendons and levels out the body stress can also be used by doctors to give the patient a sense of comfort. Doctors also recommend providing muscular injections to the affected areas to reduce the level of spasm which in turn also reduces the pain and aches therein. Traditional techniques like acupuncture can also be used to help the patients get a certain amount of physical relief. In countries like United States of America many social communities have been crested which helps the patients suffering from diseases like Fibromyalgia to come out of the stressful thinking. These social groups endeavor to change the behavioral patterns of the patients so that they can become less susceptible to effects like frustration and depression. Patients participating in social groups can reduce the feelings of anxiety and mental frustration which in turn increases their potential to cope up with the disease. More specifically the formation of social groups helps the patient to get rid of drugs to reduce their levels of anxiety and stress which automatically comes down in a collaborative environment (Shiel.; Fontaine). Conclusion Fibromyalgia is a very complex phenomenon which causes great amount of pain in the physical body and leads the patient to become increasingly tired and stressful. The causes of the incidence of the ailment could not be properly traced by doctors for its increased relation with ailments like arthritis. This complexity of the disease also led to huge problems in easily diagnosing such. Thus doctors generally recommend greater number of blood tests and x-rays to properly segregate the disease from other ailments. The incidence of Fibromyalgia causes the happening of various symptoms like increase in pain, feelings of undue anxiety and stress, nausea, vomiting and other hormonal and metabolic disturbances. These symptoms however differ from person to person which makes the treatment of such disease all the more difficult. The doctors generally recommend the use of systems like proper diet and exercise to reduce the mental stress.
