Smart watches Introduction Every company is fighting for market dominance by creating superior electronic gadgets. This is to make sure they win the customers’ trust and have a competitive advantage. Samsung is among the leading technology giants today. Apart from their great innovations in the phone, televisions, and kitchen machines, they have gone a step further to invent the smart watches.Currently in the market, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smart watches (Chen, 2014) are the talk of the day.

In the past, Samsung was always in partnership with Google thus using Google Android as its only operating system. These two new smart watches use an operating system invented by Samsung itself in partnership with other major partners. This operating system is Tizen. These smart watches are a good companion of the smart phones. The user is able to receive email, message and call notifications meant for the smart phone on the watch’s screen. This is a great innovation from Samsung. In addition, the smart watches have Bluetooth enabled connections and thus the user is able to receive notifications when the smart phone is left behind.

This will serve as a good reminder especially to those people who get busy to the extent of forgetting their phones. In comparison with the first smart watch; Galaxy Gear, these new watches have a long battery life that extends to three days. This makes them unique and reliable incase one is away from home. ConclusionSamsung is a great innovator. Having come up with the idea of smart watches early enough before other great giants like Apple could think of it. The watches are very effective and worth owning one.
