The key players that can exist in an organization include employees, the customers, the local community, investors and government agencies. The paper presents a stakeholder analysis for the University of South Wales. PESTLE Analysis of University of South Wales A PESTLE analysis comprises of a study of the macro-environment political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental factors that affect the operations of an organization. Political environment. University of South Wales political environment is characterized by adherence to the policies that have been passed the government of Wales. The University works in collaboration with relevant government agencies especially the Department of Education to ensure the creation of a favorable learning environment for the learners. The Department of Education is responsible for implementing education policies that guide knowledge acquisitive in the University of South Wales. Economic environment. The University of South Wales has been at the forefront of advocating for economic development in the local community. Through producing highly skilled graduates for the job markets, the university has contributed to economic growth. The vice-chancellor, Julie Lydon has steered towards achieving economic sustainability through encouraging the enrolment of students in the Faculty of Business and Society. Social environment. The University has also recognized the need to create an enabling social environment within its campuses. The institution admits students from different cultural and racial backgrounds. This is designed to create unity in diversity. Moreover, the school has embraced global operations leading to the admission of students from all over the world. Technological environment. The University of South Wales has adopted advanced technology with the aim of improving the level of knowledge acquisition. Through the use of modern technology, the school has been in a position to advance in research in all the faculties (Reed et al. 2009). For example, the faculty of creative industries uses sophisticated technological equipment to design art and produce high-quality media related content that is relevant in the job market. Legal environment. The institution has adopted policies that guide the learning operations and student behavior. Moreover, the institution has policies that protect the students from racial discrimination and bullying in school. The government agency has played a pivotal role in the environmental management system in the school. The education body aims at creating an enabling environment for learning in the school. The school intends to improve its environmental conservation efforts. Therefore the students are encouraged to participate in the programs. Social issues. Due to the increasing cases of bullying and racial discrimination cases, the school administration wishes to inform you that bullying is prohibited. The students are expected to live in harmony despite the differences in beliefs and cultural backgrounds. Economic issues. The school also would like to bring to your attention the economic sustainability efforts. You are therefore required to embark on serious studies on your particular faculties so that you can acquire relevant skills. The Alumni Environmental issues. The alumni are expected to help in environmental sustainability issues. The school has embarked on creating a sustainable environment hence your assistance will be of great importance. Social Affairs. The learners are encouraged to interact with other students from different countries without racial discrimination and prejudice. Economic issues. The Faculty of Business and Society provide business and related courses that can instill relevant skills that can ensure the learners acquire jobs in both local and global market. The Parent Body Environmental affairs. The parents are expected to participate in creating an enabling environment in the school. The stakeholders also brought a great impact on the operations of higher institutions of learning Social affairs. The parents are also encouraged to participate in social affairs in the school with the aim of attaining sustainability. The parents also participate in decision-making and implementation of policies that are related to the behavior of the students. Economic affairs. The parent body can also play a significant impact on initiating sustainability through economic efforts. According to Brundiers et al (2010), such corporate social responsibility efforts have improved the relationship between the school and the local community. Responses from two stakeholders The Department of Education. The Department of Education wishes to inform you that it received your message concerning the sustainability issues. The department plans to undertake the following measures. The department of education will provide adopt policies that aimed at improving the environmental sustainability. The policies will prohibit environmental pollution by companies that are around the school. Moreover, the department will create awareness on the need to fight racial discrimination. The Parent Body. The parents' body wishes to notify the school administration that it received the message on sustainability. The parents have agreed that they will provide the school with required support to achieve sustainability. For example, the parents will provide financial assistance to help in developing the school. The parents moreover will encourage students to acquire knowledge in their respective faculties. The parents will also assist the students in managing social problems that have become prevalent in the contemporary society. In conclusion, the presence of stakeholders has brought a great impact on the operations of organizations. Both business and learning institutions should adopt favorable measures aimed at creating an enabling environment for the stakeholders.
