Introduction It is true that the use of web technology has entirely transformed the methods of traditional business. In the present age almost all the global businesses are experiencing their appearance at international level. In this scenario they are providing increasingly web based shopping and dealing facilities. However, there always exists a need for further developments. This research and analysis based report is going to examine and evaluate such business developments in currently working e-business. In this regard this report will talk about the Misco UK. At present Misco UK is a world leader in online selling and a provider of IT products as well as services to the public and private sectors. In this connection I would like to present the current working operations and possible impairments in business operational model by employing UML and business modeling techniques. Business Overview The business that I have selected is Misco UK, which is a leading Web based or ecommerce business for providing the IT products and services. This business is a part or division of the Systemax Europe Ltd. Presently this business has international emergence in Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden and Netherlands. This business is offering almost 25,000 information technology products as compared to all the leading manufacturers. Currently Misco UK is selling large number of products like that Laptops, Desktops, Software, Printers, Networking, TFT / LCD Monitors, Projectors, Telecoms, TVs, Gaming and Digital Cameras & Camcorders, etc. The business of Misco UK has also achieved the award of being included among the top 10 website (hit wise) in Jul-Dec 2009 (Misco.UK , 2010). Process: Misco E-Marketing Improvement Process The current business of Misco UK is working with a highly enhanced web based business platform. The business is practicing an enhanced web based business policy and strategy. However, the e-marketing policy of Misco UK is slightly constricted. In this regard this present research, analysis and business improvement modeling will provide the possible enhancements to the E-Marketing strategy and promotion policy of Misco UK. Process Description Misco UK wants to expand their business all through the world. Keeping this vision in mind they have developed a business policy to extensively attain the customers all through the world by better focusing on technology products. In this regard business is developing a lot of business E-Marketing policies. Here business management wants to effectively plan the new rising technology products and services at their door steps. Currently, the business of the Misco UK is working through some sophisticated e-marketing strategies. Additionally, the present e-marketing strategy involves a mixture of various strategies such as personal website marketing, customer email marketing and affiliate marketing with major business partners. For personal website marketing, this business website is certainly providing lots of deals and product’s ads on the home pages of its own website. When any user opens this website all the ads come before the users instantly and he can easily distinguish about new deals and promotions. On the other hand, the main page of Misco UK electronic business website is asking about the customer email. The main purpose behind this email demand is to send email based new products and services news letters to the customers. So this is an effective way of creating a constant link between the customers and the business. Customers also have the competence to make a constant link with the website and better able to know about the new hot deals on the business website. The third basic technique of marketing which is used by this business website is affiliate marketing. As I have already mentioned that this business is a division of Systemax Europe Ltd. In this scenario Systemax Europe Ltd. is also directing its UK based customers to Misco UK business website. Process Improvements To bring potential improvements to business of the Misco UK, the business needs to integrate new and more enhanced e-marketing models. In this scenario, I will suggest some new and innovative business enhancements that will provide a much better business marketing and effective customer targeting. In this connection I would like to propose some of the new and more effective e-marketing models which will be later on followed and implemented by the Misco UK business. Here I will suggest the first E-Marketing strategy which is search engine optimization (SEO). By using this technique we can increase online customer’s traffic toward the Misco UK business website. With the implementation of this new marketing model, when a customer will be looking for some new products or services regarding the technology, the search engine will direct (refer) the customer toward our business website (Strauss & Frost, 2008). The next major e-marketing model that we are going to suggest is “paid keyword search marketing”. In this new model of the e-marketing, we will generally place ads on other business or information website platform and also pay them an amount for our business ads. In this way when any customer who is searching for or interested in technology products or services will definitely click on that ad to visit our website (Chaffey et al., 2009). The next major technique and marketing model that I would like to suggest for e-marketing framework improvement for the Misco UK business website is Social Networking & Blogs. In this new rising e-marketing process implementation we will establish a community or blog of our technology related business on any famous social network (like that Twitter, Facebook). Hence, in this way old customers would be able to share or discuss their views and suggestions to that website platform which can be helpful or convincing the new customer to visit and search our website business for getting better overview of new technology products and services (Chaffey et al., 2009). Set 2 To demonstrate E-marketing process improvement of the Misco UK business website I have selected the set # 2 of business modeling processes for an improved structure. In this scenario I will use the UML models that are use cases, activity diagrams, object diagrams, sequence diagrams, and the Eriksson-Penker extension to UML. The reason behind the selection of this set is that this business modeling diagram is the effective and simple nature of this models for the demonstration of the any business process. Use case, sequence, object activity and Eriksson-Penker diagrams offer much better way of representation for the business process that can be observed in the first look to the viewer. Besides this I have better knowledge of designing such diagrams as compared to set 2. Use Case Diagram (Original) Use Case Diagram (Improved Version) Sequence Diagram (Original) Sequence Diagram (Improved Version) Activity Diagram (Original) Activity Diagram (Improved Version) Object Diagram (Original) Object Diagram (Improved Version) Eriksson-Penker Diagram (Original) Eriksson-Penker Diagram (Extended Version) References Chaffey, D., Ellis-Chadwick, F., Mayer, R., & Johnston, K.
