In my uncle’s business employees play an important role in organizational growth and success. Therefore maintaining a good relationship with them is an important responsibility of the company. Strategies of the company need to be decided according to that. Present Business condition As a product development project leader I have joined my uncle’s business. I mainly handle operational activities of the company. I have analyzed the company’s situation and have come to the conclusion that revenue of the organization has significantly dropped in past few years. The organizational members of this business did not implement any new ideas in business operation and development process. There is no such project manager present to manage and look after the works of various projects. As a result business functions are not executed properly. Project leaders were there but they left the company because of serious conflict with their supervisors and managers. For all of these reason employees are getting de-motivated in this company and this leads to deterioration of the company. My uncle’s business needs to be organized in an effective way so that the company develops a strong relationship with its employees. It will help the business to achieve its goals and objectives. Basic leadership skills Figure 1: leadership skills Organizational leaders play an important role in building strong relationship of the company with its members. With the help of my leadership skills I will understand potentialities of organizational members and according to that I will divide the work among the employees. Motivation is a vital skill of leader. I need to implement this skill of improving the work performance of organizational members. Every employee expects some things for the company where they are working. By understanding their needs and requirements I have to motivate them in such a way that their commitment and dedication towards the company increases. Motivated employees deliver high quality of work which benefits the organization in its growth and success. I need to have strong power of listing and analyzing things. At present employees of this business are having many problems. So I have to listen to them properly and analyze the problems and the situations. By this process I will be able to know different ideas of organizational members for improving the business condition. As a leader I have to maintain good connection with my seniors and juniors for implementing new business process and operations. This skill will also help me to establish strong bonding with both upper and lower levels of the organizations. Strong bonding organizational members will facilitate me to implement business strategies effectively. I have to always stay connected with every organizational member for achieving organizational goals and objectives. Training and development program contributes a lot in organizational success. In my uncle’s company there is no such strong manager present who will guide the employees in their work. So I have to implement the leadership skill of training and developing my subordinates for guiding them in their work. I will share the company’s vision with all organizational members for making them understand about organizational long term objectives. It will motivate them in performing their work. I will set different influential examples in front of employees which will provide them the strength to overcome various problems. Methods to build effective relationships Effective and strong relationship with organizational member will help me to increase productivity of the business. There are some important methods by which I can build effective relationship with my superiors and peers within the organizations. This will increase trust among the organizational members which will enhance the relationship. Preventing blame game Blame game hamper’s the relationship of employees. They often involve in blaming each other for getting undue advantages. For implementing new ideas in the business I have to prevent blame game. It hampers the whole business process by creating rivalry and negative feelings among the organizational employees. Blaming any employee without any reason or fault creates bad impression of the company in the mind of employee. When any things go wrong in the business I will take step to manage the situation by implementing effective measures and by doing proper analysis of the situation. Employees of this firm rarely participate in organizational decision making process. Therefore by implementing this management strategy I can motivate the employees to produce their views and opinions in various organizational functions and processes (Henry, 2011). This management system promotes open communication which takes place through face to face meetings and discussions. It helps to enhance the relationship of the employees with the employers. I will encourage people working in different teams in the company to take part in activities of other teams for handling critical problems. I will share important information with my peers to give them a proper idea about present business situation. This information will include financial projection, company budget etc. By implementing this process I will increase transparency in business process which will enhance the trust of organizational members. As a leader I will conduct some training programs for mentoring my subordinates. By this training, employee will be able to develop and enhance their skill and potentialities which will help them to take part in this management process more efficiently. I will also provide cross training to organizational members for making them capable of performing other types of business functions. Through this process the employees will be encouraged to communicate with each other for sharing information and knowledge for improving business process. Teaching management is another important method for implementing participatory management. By enforcing teaching management I will teach and guide my subordinates about the decision making process of the company (Leopold, Harris and Watson, 2005). In this process I will provide knowledge to the employees about cognitive tools which are required to solve organizational problems or to implement different strategies.
