3. The relationships between the variables selected for study should be clearly defined in the case of social sciences research. According to Joseph(2007), social sciences research often deal with complex structures, which are very essential to illustrate the characteristics of the variables. These models which highlight the relationships between the variables should be clearly understood to make the research methodology more relevant and reliable. 4. The sample to be selected should be appropriate to the research objectives.

The nature of the sample, the size of the sample should be clearly mentioned in the research methodology as described in the research design. The sample to be studied should accommodate the random selection wherever possible. (Geoffrey,2005, P.No.288) 5. The principle of random assignment should be adopted in the research design and methodology. The principle of random design helps to eliminate the interference of unrelated factors in interpreting the results. By adopting this principle, the researcher has to assign the participants in each group so that the groups that are formed are more uniform. 6. The data collection method should be selected after understanding the technique to be used to collect the data from the participants.

The technique used should be in line with the objectives, hold ambiguity at the lowest and increase the reliability of the data collected. It should be modern, free from ambiguity and should save the resources used for the research. 7. It should clearly specify the statistical tools that are going to be adopted to analyze the data. When the statistical tools that have to be used are decided, then it gives a better understanding of the purpose of the project and vice versa. Also, if the tools are clear, it increases the validity of the research design and methodology.
