Animal Accommodation in the UK In the United Kingdom, animal rights are perceived with significant regard. It for this reason that the U.K Government report on livestock and husbandry was created in 19651. The creation of the Government Report was based on ways animals in the state could be given much more comfortable lives. One major component of the report was the inclusion of the Five Freedoms. They were also referred to as the Brambles’s five freedoms. The five freedoms were set to govern handling animals under human control.

The freedoms also govern animals intended for foods as well as working animals. The significance of the freedoms led to their adaptation by international representation groups2. They included the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the World Organization for Animal Health. Apart from animal owners, professional groups such as veterinary are required to adhere to the provisions of the five freedoms.
