Unlike other interview questions, this particular one is less difficult to answer. While the question may seem a bit tricky at first, one would significantly answer if they are able to understand what the employer requires of them. Ideally, an interviewer may not be particularly interested in your position in 10 years. The person may dwell on it regarding fewer or more years, depending on choice or preference. Primarily, interviewers in a company ask this particular question to gauge how you would be able to invest in the organization in the coming years once they hire you.

For this reason, you should bear in mind the right answer to what is being asked before you spill it out. As the situation may be complicated, no one is rushing you. On that note, how do you answer the “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” question? Well, below is a guide to help you out: Stick to the Relevancy of the Potential Job of Interest Before you give your answer to the person, you should stop to think first. How does the particular question relate to the vacancy that you are seeking?

In essence, your plans for the next 5 or 10 years in life matter a lot. Primarily, they must communicate relevant and significant skills that relate to a specific job. A relevant answer would be the first appropriate point of entry into the field, and even better, maintain a person in a particular spot for many years. For a start, you can begin by describing how you plan to advance your language and skills in the future and the job position you are seeking to attain in life. Simply put, describe any significant skills that you would desire to strengthen and the relevance of the skills to the job.

If you are not planning to stay on the job for many years, focus on the good that you are aiming to achieve there. As much as your course would more likely change as days go by, you can always make an impact on where you are currently. Be Realistic when Giving an Answer Giving an unrealistic answer is one of the worst put offs for an interview. While you are under no pressure to be over-ambitious, your response should show that you have good skills. Furthermore, a Korean organization wouldn't take you in simply because you expect an advancement or promotion where it is impossible.

You should research the time it takes for one to be promoted, what it takes, and how it works. In short, familiarize yourself with the path that leads to a particular position and to gather relevant information on it. That way, discussing it wouldn’t be a challenge. It’s time to demonstrate your relevance for a particular job post, so do not waste it or mess it up. Honesty is the Best Policy in Life The worst thing you can do in an interview is to tailor answers that aim to please the interviewer.

Reply in a way that is genuine and good enough to represent your intentions with utmost accuracy. While it may be tempting to lie about the time that you are willing to work for the Korean company, it should be able to know your future goals and what you are trying to achieve. In most cases, a little dishonesty may make you an appealing candidate, but it is unwise. Ideally, you do not have to lie about your commitment to the Korean company. You should, instead, focus your attention on the able and positive aspects of it and downplay negative aspects rather than lying.
