Renewable Energy Technologies Research Proposal: Public Attitude towards Renewable Energy Research Topic Engineering – What are public attitudes towards renewable energy? What public concerns need to be addressed in order to win public support for renewable energy projects.Topic JustificationA future transition to a sustainable society will require large-scale conversions of the energy systems to new, renewable energies which are also non-fossil. In the light of this bid, the public support is imperative in order to put in place the plans for new technologies towards renewable energy projects.

It is important to gain the public trust to be able to effect the projects. As such, the public may be able to deal with the challenges in terms of placement, area requirements, ecological delegation and price development. To be able to facilitate ways to win the public trust on renewable energies it is important to carry out a study that will give a baseline on the attitudes the public has towards renewable energies. The study will also address the real public worries in order to achieve the relevant amount of support from the public for renewable energies.

Social acceptance towards renewable energies and their technologies hinders to an excellent level the inception of renewable energies in many communities. If the paper addresses the social acceptance issues that hinder the public from taking up the initiatives, the future of renewable energy technologies will be bright. The Research MethodsThe research will employ sampling strategy for a randomly selected population below 45 years and above 18 years in the category of different stakeholders in the renewable energy tiers.

Among the stakeholders is the general public, government institutions, private sectors and the humanitarian organizations. Sampling will involve the random sampling strategy. The researcher assumes that each unit in the population has an equal probability of being selected in the sample. For example, under the ministry of energy docket, government officials to be included in the sample will be chosen randomly. This will happen in all the stakeholders sample selection.Qualitative and quantitative analysis will also play a major part in the completion of the research.

Data will be obtained from differently collected journals, magazines, videos broadcasts and other materials. Data CollectionThe researcher will conduct an online survey using the survey monkey. The study will comprise of questionnaires that will accommodate multiple choice questions. The questionnaire comprises of three groups of questions. The three levels will be background information, awareness levels of renewable energy technologies as well as the willingness to invest. The respondents will be emailed and requested for some time to respond to the questions.

The researcher will also request for the general public sample to respond to physical interviews in order to complete the questionnaires. These are among the questions that will feature in the questionnaire.Sample Question ItemsAre all your Light bulbs low Energy?(a)b)Do you turn the lights off?a)b)Do you keep the central heating low?a)b)What is your general take on renewable energies?a)b) Data PresentationThe results will be tabulated through the survey devices.

The total number of responses for each selection option will be provided. The researcher will also calculate different ranges as obtained from the data such as percentages, mean, ranges and median. The data will also be presented in graphical representations and charts. Ethical Concerns It will be appropriate to seek necessary approvals from relevant authorities and each institution that will be placed as a sample for data collection.

Before the commencement of the survey, all parties will be guaranteed that all the information obtained shall be treated with utmost care and confidentiality. The parties will be briefed on the need to get the data in order to facilitate future tourism development ChallengesThe main challenges anticipated is the failure of chosen respondents or sampled respondents to respond. There is also an anticipation of exaggeration of data obtained from the respondents or poor data production.
