America, Middle East and Asia foreign policies It is since the end of the World War II when the government of the United States of America resumed a larger portion to control in the foreign affairs. It was after this war that the victorious states created the so called United Nations since they had drawn lots of experiences from the failure of the Nation’s League (Duignan & Gann. 38). The purpose, of the body was aimed at addressing the main points that the previous body was weak at. This group was stronger than ever since it came with unfathomable strength which emerged from the two super powers. All together, these nations worked together to ensure that the operations of all the nations went smoothly even during and after the cold war. Foreign affairs are the activities in which a given state interacts with other countries especially in international matters. Earlier on, during the Cold War, the United States had tried to implement the prevention of the Soviet Union by making an effort to support the anti- communist regimes. The United States of America was seen as the most peaceful of all the countries until during the end of the Second World War when it finally came to a consideration that stated the Middle East as one of the most important area in the world that had well laid down strategies. It thought of it as one of the highest material prices globally. The Middle East and South East Asia were some of the top States that heavily benefited from this change owing to the fact that they encountered some problems from the change too. The United States constitution granted the presidency a larger portion of the foreign policy decision making. On the same, the senate is also granted exclusive roles of treaties ratification. It is the treaty which was expressed fairly in the George Washington’s farewell address was mostly aimed at observing fair justice and exercising utmost good faith to all nations which meant the cultivation of peace and harmony globally and not only around the two states. There was a major economic prosperity in the two of the involved nations and others that are unnamed (Combs. 410). Since the United States based some of its headquarters in these states, their respective economic backgrounds had a tremendous increase. To operate internally and effectively in the states in quotes, the States had to outsource most of its infrastructural ideas into the Middle East and the south East Asia to ensure fair flow of its operations. This was one of the major steps that the state made and on the long-run propelled the minor states into hastened approach to their developments. Similarly, the assuming of the larger role in the control of the foreign affairs lend to equitable balance of the human rights between these and other states that were under the influence of the States. It is through this action by the states to guide and control the Unions that influenced the strengthening of the human rights in different states of the South East Asia. Despite of the thought aim of America taking over the foreign affairs control as a superpower, it had more positive implication on the increase of the democracy in the subject states. The states were forced to extend their human rights and democratic law to the Middle East and the southern East part of Asia to help protect its people who worked in these states. This move did not only benefit the United States citizens but also the citizens of the two countries. It was quite beneficial to many minor developing nations for the United States to overrule most of the foreign affairs since this bridged the United States economic and ecological links through which it had already formed and based strong market goodwill. The countries under the United States enjoyed this benefit knowing that the previous transactions with the United States held them to be as competent, skillful and knowledgeable as they had earlier thought of the United States. This indirectly led to the fact of growing of inequalities that were attributed in the development of the economy of the Middle East and on the other hand, it would highly boost its economy. America has served a great deal in protecting these nations from any forms of threats coming from any external powerful nation. This is despite of the people throughout the world criticizing the policies of the United States which in real sense are aimed at gaining of freedom and incomparable opportunities of the weak or rather developing countries in the global competition. On the same point, all the countries that are enlisted under the United States in relation to the wide share of control in the foreign market have unfathomably from the aids that this super power offers (Keynes. 10). The aids include provision of free medical services and care to the countries that are attached by the epidemics such as the HIV/AIDS and others like malaria outbreaks. These illnesses drain the country of all its labor force leaving it under negative Gross Domestic Production which leads to crashing of the economy of the country. The United States is one of the major superpowers that are staunchly against the theme of illegal trafficking of drugs. This factor is attached to that of crime occurrence. By the taking over of the foreign affairs of these states, this meant a tremendous cut or termination of the majority of the illegal transactions that were ongoing between these countries and other countries. In return, this idea led to the shift in the gross income saved by the citizens who in other words were exhausting all their earned incomes in the drugs transactions (Ganske. 57). It also boosted the overall job performance of the citizens which had unimaginably deteriorated before and during the World War 2. All the nations that came under the States control were assured of freedom from threats of attack by mass destruction weapons and any type of terrorism attacks. This superiority made it clear that any nation that conducted any form of attack on the United States did not only threaten the Americans only but also all the other nations that were of peaceful civilized existence. The growth in most of the developing countries at that time which included the Middle East and the South East Asia relied from the external inflows that would most probably come from the United States as the main donors. As a result of the above implication, the countries with lower financial supports will have no otherwise but to ensure their own their individual survival (Neville. 27). The two states had a great advantage from the fact that the United States had to ship in their educational facilities. The Middle East benefited more from this effects holding to the fact that they gained much knowledge on the ways of carrying out the financial transactions in the stock markets both in internal market and the external global markets (Kawashima). Use of the already developed technology in these two states by the United States was extremely beneficial to them since they enjoyed the free upgrade into the civilized world technology. On the other hand, those that were to operate the given machines were trained by the State personnel (Beisner. 8). This is another benefit to South East Asia country since the trained individuals will remain in the country even after the States is through with its activities in their country. Since the Americans established their position through assuming the largest position in the market share, these countries have been finding most of the transactions of trade to be rather soft in running due to the ease of the trading routes that are set by the locals to ensure they gain some tips from the visitors by showing them ways out and in through the confusing routes. America as a superpower faced a lot of competition and discouragements from other competing nations that had interest on the two famous countries where the States set their camps. When we further look into the real intension of these countries, it is rather clear that they were driven towards their own beneficial satisfactions and not for the wellbeing of the country and others as it was the case in Americans intentions (Ikenberry. 33). The American intension was always of peace and to maintain worldwide interactions especially through signing of peace treaties between all the countries it ruled over. Apart from the economic interests, the US government has taken upon itself to ensure that there is a peaceful existence in the Middle East. This is in conjunction with the anti-communist doctrine which was designed to neutralize the soviet’s influence in the middle east and Asia. the united state has strived to ensure that the Persian Gulf oil supplies is secure thus enabling the middle east nations associated with the oil trading business to benefit fully from the peaceful established environment. This aspect has led to an economic advancement in the Middle East through established infrastructure and development of world trading centers in various cities in the Middle East. Dubai, Qatar and Kuwait are some of the beneficiaries of the anti-communist doctrine of containment as they are among the most improved cities in terms of world trade and business. Many foreign traders have been able to invest heavily in the Middle East as a result of the peace initiatives vested by the United States. Cities such as Dubai and Qatar have enjoyed a good trading atmosphere as they have become a route channel from Europe to Africa and Asia. These cities have are also able to accommodate many foreign citizens thus promoting cultural diversity in the region. The multi-cultural aspect has led to the development of new ideas in trade and governance of the region. The aim of the united state has also been to ensure that Israel is at peace with its neighbours (Ikenberry. 33). According to the historic point of view, Israel is regarded as a foreign state in the Middle Eastern region. This is due to the difference between the Jewish and the Arabic culture. The war between Israel and its neighbours is in regard to the extension of nation boundaries so as to access various natural resources in the region. Israel is perceived as a gifted country with numerous resources thus the Arabic nations have always fought to have a share in the management of this resource. The Unite state has recently intervened the situation and is in the verge of securing a peaceful existence in the region. The Second World War made America split its foreign policies in order to help the nations that struggle to maintain a peaceful existence especially in Asia and the Middle East. This aspect led to the introduction of the National Security Council Document 68 which was known for its dramatic military formation on the verge of dealing with communist threats all over the world (Staten, 1). Asia has widely benefited from this document. During the late 1950, U.S military troops came to the rescue of South Korea from the North Korean communist invasion. The U.S government through the command of President Truman deployed soldiers at the Korean Peninsula to prevent the Northern side of Korea from attacking the south thus enhancing as calm existence through the provision of security (Staten, 1). The Philippine government also benefited from this document as it was protected from the internal rebellion by the Huks. Taiwan was another beneficiary of the document as it was protected from the Chinese attacks. The U.S involvement in the Oil business partnership in the Middle East has benefited the Middle East countries by expanding the oil market and increasing the oil price. This is through the signing of the "Red Line Agreement" in 1928. The agreement led to an equal collaboration between Britain and the U.S on the oil affairs of the Middle East. This meant that both the Europe and North America had their business priorities vested in the Middle East. As a result, many cities in the Middle have developed due to trade improvement in the region. The agreement also enhanced security in the Middle East as solders from Britain and the U.S were deployed to protect the oil fields which had created turmoil among the Middle East countries. The United States established commercial ties with the Middle East during 19th century thou the relationship between The Middle East and the US were limited preceding the Second World War. During this period, United States president Andrew Jackson formed official ties with Muscat and Oman sultans in 1833. The sultans saw this aspect as a way of neutralizing the British regional influence which had formed strong roots in the Middle East. As a result, the US and Britain came to an agreement of sharing responsibility and dominance in the Middle East after the Second World War. The agreement has contributed immensely to economic growth of the Middle East. The United States was much popular and much appreciated in the Middle East unlike the European powers that colonized nearly all Middle East regions before the defeat of Ottoman Empire. The Middle East viewed European countries as selfish unlike the Americans who brought their missionaries who introduced modern medicine and established educational institutions to all the Middle East regions. United States also provided expert petroleum engineers to the Middle East and in 1928 and 1944 the United States and Middle East formed corporation between them which were, Red line Agreement and Anglo-American Petroleum Agreement respectively. The two agreements were lawfully binding and showed that America had interest in the control of the energy resources in the Middle East. The US was involved in the war between North Vietnam and South Vietnam which took course between 1959 and 1975 (Povell, 1). This war promoted two emigration waves where Vietnam occupants fled to the united states as refugees since the Vietnam’s who worked with America during the war feared that the communist party would retaliate against them. In this case, they fled to United States using U.S. military cargo ship (Povell, 1). About a quarter of Americans (36%) agreed to the immigration of the Vietnamese. Most Vietnamese occupants living in the United States were either spouses or children of the American servicemen situated in Vietnam. Works cited Beisner Robert L.
