The internet is popular among individuals and companies and it used for different purpose. Several companies have been established for the purposes of providing the internet service to the customers. iiNet is an internet service provider in Australia that has a wide coverage and it is relied upon by millions of customers (Fell, 61). The internet service is currently required by any business organization due to its usefulness and hence its high demand. The paper thus analyses the internet service in relation to iiNet which is an internet service provider in Australia. Information gathering The information regarding service was gathered through the information from a survey that was carried to determine the customer satisfaction. A survey is an important tool that is used for primary research and it provides important information with regards to how the customers feel about a product. Product Identity Purpose The purpose of the service is to enable the customers to be connected to the internet. This in turn enables them to browse through the internet and carry out different operations using the internet. The internet is useful to both the individuals and companies. Features In order for the internet service to be operational, several technological gadgets have to be installed. This involves the router which is then used for connecting the internet to the computers either directly or through a wireless service. The connection requires the users to pay for a certain amount depending on their requirements (Dawson, 40). Strengths The service is quite important for the people who are carrying out business or people in educational institutions. It enables the users to monitor their business operations as well as carrying out a competitor analysis through online. It also provides an easy connection between different users. Limitations The limitation of the service is that it cannot be used in remote areas. This is because the internet service requires a network connection which may not be available in the remote areas. It may also be expensive for the ordinary people and hence the inconvenience. Guarantees and warranties The iiNet internet service does not come with automatic guaranties or warranties. However, the customers can be refunded their money incase of wrongful billing or failure of the service for 24 hours on a continuous basis. On the other the customers can return the routers and other technological gadgets if it fails to work within 2 years. Comparison with the competitors Benefits The main benefit of iiNet internet service is its high speed connection which enables the users to access the internet at a faster rate as compared to the competitors. The iiNet internet service has a speed of 1.5Mbit/s to 24Mbit/s. This is much higher that the competitors which includes Adam Internet and Eftel internet. Features The features of the competitors are almost the same since the gadgets that are required for the purposes of providing the internet service are the same. However, the difference of the features of iiNet, Eftel internet and Adam internet lies on the superiority of the router which enables the more users to be connected to the internet at once. Strength The strength of Eftel internet which is a major competitor is its popularity among the users in the lower market and hence impacting positively on its ability to penetrate the market. On the other hand Adam internet has a good reputation and brand image as compared to iiNet which has been faced with various law suites and hence affecting its reputation in the market. Limitations The limitation of Adam internet service is on the number of subscribers. Its number of subscribers is low as compared to iiNet. On the other hand, the limitation of Eftel is on its area of coverage. Price The price for the internet service varies depending on the use. Adam internet charges about $ 100 per month for its subscription services while Eftel internet charges about $ 110 for the monthly subscription. iiNet on the other hand charges about $ 95 for the provision of internet services per moth. The rates are however the lowest for business organizations and individual using computers. Guarantees and warrantees Both competitors also offer two year warranty for its technological gadgets incase of damage. However, terms and conditions apply as the companies may not offer guarantees in some circumstances which involves the mistake by the users. Potential buyer market The buyer market for iiNet internet service is quite large. This involves individuals, businesses and educational institutions. The government is also a potential buyer of the products of the company.
