?Introduction China is the hub of gaming and because of such perception, Chinese are associated with gaming (Kshetri, 2009). To provide the swith the best gaming experience in counterstrike, DOTA, LOL etc, the company will provide the customers with prepaid game cards. Since Chinese are the most interested in gaming (Van Rooij et al., 2010)., and therefore Chinese people will be the major target audience of the company. The aim of the company would be to provide the customers i.e. Chinese gamers, with prepaid game cards. This game prepaid card would allow the gamers to enhance their gaming experience as by such prepaid card, the hurdles such as lag and delays would be eliminated. Along with such facility, the Chinese player could purchase this card in any foreign country. With such an interesting prepaid card, the Chinese gamer could enjoy a lot of advantages. One of such benefits is the purchase of cards in any foreign country. Since Chinese internet banking process requires a lot of legal formalities and the process requires high payment, this prepaid card could be purchased with the use of VISA card. Since this card would allow the gamers to enhance their online gaming experience without any delays and lags, it would attract lots of gamers to purchase such card. The most attracted gamers would be Chinese to such cards as these individuals are quite faithful to the game they play. The major concern for this company is its competitors in the market. Garena is one such competitor that allows the gamers to experience online gaming with the rest of the world. Garena has over hundreds and thousands of online gamers online. To differentiate Garena from its competitors in the market, the management has aimed to focus on the cost that the customers would pay. Acquiring gold membership at Garena requires high cost but once gold membership is purchased, prepaid cards are available at low cost as compared to others in the market and this would be the uniqueness of the company. With such a strategy to attract customers, honesty and reliability would be the core advantages upon which the customers would prefer such card system over other competitors in the market. In order to enhance the customer’s engagement, staff with knowledge about the games and its terminologies would be hired. This would allow the company to interact with the customers from time to time. The company would also focus on building relationship with the customers so that the customers remain loyal over the years. To further expand the business, the aim of the company would be on “click and mortar” type of business. By designing a website for the company, Garena would be able to bring in more gamers from all around the globe but the company would not just stop at designing a website, it will also have stores in the world to provide the gamers with prepaid gaming card. Supplier would not be a problem for the company as it has been observed that there are thousands of stores that provide the gamers with accessories throughout the world. By creating links with the suppliers in the world, the company would be able to sell game prepaid cards. Summary of Group’s Business Idea The group business idea is to provide the Chinese gamers with gaming prepaid card that would provide them with the access to unlimited online gaming without any jerks or delays. Since most of the gamers are quite loyal and faithful to the game they play, they want that game to be free from any delays or timeouts. Strengths The strengths of this gaming card would be its low cost and availability. Since the company aims to design its own website along with an introduction of gaming store, the availability of the prepaid gaming card would be out of question. Since this would be the only available card that would require less time and documentation, it would rapidly sell in the market. Weakness The weakness of the business idea would be the lack of awareness level in gamers regarding the prepaid gaming card. Promotion and advertisement for the company’s product would be the some other weaknesses of such company. The size of the company would be another problem in the market. Idea Initiation I came up with such an idea when I visited a gaming zone near my block. I witnessed that most of the gamers were annoyed with the constant lags they were facing during their game-play. Most of the Chinese gamers were constantly complaining regarding the lags and delays they had to face during their game which eventually led them to left without completing the game. During my observation, I came up with an idea to provide the gamers with an opportunity to play complete game without any delays and time-outs. I also came up with an alternative plan to open up a company that would provide the customers access to internet. But the plan had to be dropped as the costs associated with the plan was quite high but the costs with such prepaid gaming card were fairly agreeable. Team Work To get the job done in the right time, the roles were equally divided among the team members. Each individual was responsible for the task that was provided to him. Each member in the team has significantly contributed for the plan to efficiently reach its success. Some of the major roles that were equally divided among the team-members were creation of marketing strategies, analyzing the industry and trends, forecasting and measure of the growth, understanding the environment and provide feasibility report etc. I was given the role about formulation of marketing strategies. The strategy that I proposed for the prepaid card to be successful was regarding its uniqueness along with the ways; the card should be distributed to the gamers around the world. While working together, the work that would have been completed in a month was completed within two weeks. As each of the member was provided with role that he/she had interest in, the team was able to efficiently complete its work before the deadline that was provided to us. Presentation Experience For the plan to be successful, it needs to be presented to the panel. The presentation of idea instead of just submitting paper is quite high as through the use of presentation, the individual could present the facts and figures that could attract the panel more efficiently and effectively. Some of the major strength of presentation over just submitting documents is as follows; a) Through the use of presentation, an individual can easily transfer the idea from person to person and better explain the idea (Barrow, Barrow, & Brown, 2012).. b) By using presentation skills, an individual can negotiate with the panel more easily and effectively as all the facts and figures would be presented in front of them. c) Constant feedback regarding the idea is immediate. In presentation, the individual could be provided with immediate feedback regarding the idea and can be questioned regarding the flexibility and reliability of the idea presented (Cornelissen, 2011).. d) Through presentation, an individual can learn much more things as compared to submitting documents. Through the use of presentation, an individual can predict regarding the failure and success. Individual can even learn few ways to attract the panel but this cannot be done through just documents (Guffey, & Loewy, 2010).. The things that I have learnt from presenting the plan to the panel are mentioned above in the points. In addition, there is one thing that I further wanted to share is that through presentation, an individual can connect with the panel and can somehow influence them to accept the plan even if the plan is not well established. Only confidence and knowledge about the plan is quite enough to satisfy the panel to get the plan accepted. Alternative Scenario It was forecasted that with this plan, the company would be able to grow at tremendous speed as the gamers in countries are looking for better quality of internet and by providing the customers with what they want, the company can enhance its growth and sales up in no time. Looking back today, it could be said that the prediction was optimistic. I am able to say my prediction was optimistic as I constantly observed that gamers were annoyed with the constant time-out and lags and by providing them with what the customers want, the idea was well established and well articulated to meet the customer’s demand. For a plan to reach its desired growth, alternative methods should always be considered. The alternative growth route that I planned was to work in collaboration with other small companies that aims to provide the customers with other facilities and accessories. With other products being sold in the market, the company would have been provided with an opportunity to gain insight regarding the needs of the gamers. In addition, with further promotion of the company’s product, the awareness level regarding the product could have been further increased and the customers would be provided with reasons to use such prepaid card for gaming rather than any other card available in the market.
