Case Study Analysis In accordance to Chipman, Hiackley and Spencer (99), a successful triage system should take care of the various stages of patients in a bid to deliver best quality. Therefore, this part will focus on ensuring that the current scope of the system is well analyzed using a data flow diagram. Information will be gathered from the case and the already taken care of, PIECES analysis. There will be a feasibility assessment of the project and a likely methodology that can be used to solve the current problem.

Data Flow DiagramThe following data flow diagram will be in line with the previously stated case on the Chinese Triage system, in a bid to iron out the scope of the current system.Hospital data Flow ExplanationThe above DFD is a clear manner in which information flow, which is the current headache, is expected to happen as per the suggested system. The patient registers at the reception desk and the information is fed into the triage system. The data is then made accessible to the doctors and the nurses and then they have the power to sort the system at the will or in accordance to the hospitals guidelines or according to emergency disasters (Lakha and Moore, 34; Turegano and Perez-Diaz, 441).

The updated information is what is fed back into the original triage and made available for patients to watch on a live monitor.Risk profileA project is bound to have some risks and without proper assessment, it can fail. In this case, the risk profile framework as adapted by Wilcocks and Griffiths (231) will be adapted.Explanation of the risk profileAs more patients get into the hospital and are registered, many more will tend to have more severe cases and thus, depending on the mode of selection by the doctors to determine who should be served first, there are patients who will feel neglected.

This will tend to resume the past squabbles as outlined by the previous system. Suitable Approach to develop the systemThe system development process is thus fairer in that the problems trying to be rooted out are partly done. To avert the problem noted in the profile, it is essential that assessment that is more practical be done in terms of the CATWOE checklist. According to Checkland and Scholes (23), in their soft systems methodology, they propose solutions, advising on CATWOE to problems that have no definitive approach.

Using the analysis, it will hence be possible to tell out the possible remedies to the problems and proposed solutions. According to Wilson (1) proper judgments will depend on the situation.
