Utilitarian Animal Rights of Affiliation: Utilitarian Animal Rights Animals should be taken care of, but in as much as they should be, there are situations which forces one to kill for example in order to survive like in the illustration of staying in the island where there is no any other option. I think it won’t be termed unethical if it’s the only way to survive like in that situation and also in the case of grizzly beer where ethics does not allow you to allow it kill you. Being human is more of a responsibility that any other human being should adhere to, but it should not make us too rigid that we do not give ourselves what satisfies us because that would be like torturing ourselves with the so called ethics (Pojman and Pojman, 2012).

On the other hand, being that we have power as beings over these animals, we should not use these powers to exploit these animals as they should be. That’s what it takes to be to animal’s protector just as one can take care of the fellow being whereby one feels for the other and putting yourself in one’s shoes. Environmental ethics means a lot, for example it helps restore the creation which extends to the traditional boundaries from human to non-human world (Pojman and Pojman, 2012). Why should we destroy animals as a matter of subject if we have other option?

We need to protect these species for future generation, for beauty of the land as a matter of fact. I think it is right for human beings to act knowingly in extinction of these animals for the reason of survival.ReferencePojman, L. P., & Pojman, P. (2012). Rational Beings Alone have Moral Worth. Environmental ethics: readings in theory and application (6th ed.,). Boston, Mass.: Wadsworth.
