Troubled Love Relationships; Adele and Madonna The media and specifically the music videos are the inner representation of the society values. In most cases, an artist will align their music to the current position of the society in compiling a song. As such, the diverse societal problems and circumstances feature in most music videos. Indeed, the success of any song relates to its address on the current societal issues. Although we need a detailed analysis to define the themes in these songs, most themes are very clear in the music videos.

This paper will establish the existence of troubled love relationships using Madonna’s “Hung up” music video and Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” music video. Troubled Love RelationshipsThis is arguably the most common theme in the society at the time of releasing the music videos. It affects men and women of all races who are in love. As such, both videos carry a lot of proof to this theme. In the music video, Hung up by Madonna, the relationship troubles of a strong, independent woman are very clear to the audience.

In addition, in the music video, Rolling in the Deep by Adele, a description of the emotions of a scorned lover are very clear to the audience. In the Hung up music video, the woman claims that she is tired of waiting for her love. She is cross with whatever the man says or does. She is confused on whether to wait for the love claiming that those who wait are never in a hurry while those who run for it get all the fun. Indeed, she has been waiting day and night for a call from her lover to no avail and she cannot wait any longer on the call.

However, out of love, she tries calling him late at night instead but the man does not respond. The woman reckons that the man is hesitating for love but the woman wants it right now and then. As a result, the woman decides to move on and observes that when the man decides to respond to love, it will be too late for him since the woman will not be available (AZLyrics Web). This demonstrates the imbalance in the love relations where one is hesitant for love while the other is so ready for it. On the other hand, in the Rolling in the deep music video, emotions of a failed love affair run deep.

The lover claims the fond memories of their love affair that did not work out. He cannot hide the desperate love feeling that they almost succeeded. He however wants to re ignite the love relationship again. He begs for a second chance claiming that he can now see what he missed in the failed love affair. This time he promises tears of joy will fall, better things and perfect love. He confirms that the woman will not regret the second chance (AZLyrics Web). This demonstrates how sometimes love relationships do not work out.

Moreover, it shows the will to have a second chance in love. All these are real love issues that happen in our society. However, it is not true that we do not have successful love relationships in our society. Indeed, most of the relationships achieve their purpose of love and brings on happy families. Hence, the troubled love relationships do not dominate in the society relationships.Works CitedAZLyrics. "Rolling In the Deep". AZLyrics, 2012.
