The duration between 1800 and 1930 was the period which had an impact on the economic life of the United State between 1800 and the great depression. Working women in the community tends to think that the immigrant women are at the centre of successful families and supporting the community (Saul, 2003). Through empowering immigrant women, we help to create more engaged mothers, colleagues, daughters and the members of the community. Research carried out have shown that when a women is given an opportunity so that to realize her full potential, we all are better for the given job. Whoever is involved in any child’s life in our daily life has to hone the sense of service and responsibility to the families. Each and every working mother has to abandon their home with the aim of working. Some of the mothers go ahead to open day care centres in their homes. They do this to make sure that they spend most of their time and days with their families especially children (Reinstra, 2003). Moreover, other mothers benefit much while working online thus spending most of their time at home with the family and support them financially. Positive effect on the countries business and institutions stability has been as a result of social involvement in the sector. Through the involvement of women in the countries or nations affair, they benefitted in gaining skills and applying them in structuring and building the community with strengthening institutional reckoning with family needs. When the mothers work outside home, they interact and meet people, through that; they make friends with the co-workers by socialization at work place (Ravizza & Peterson-Iyer, 2005). The working mothers simply don’t have most of free time to attend to all household chores. When they are at work, it does not matter whether at home or not, the children and spouses are supposed to handle or play their part in ensuring that the family is maintained and runs smoothly. In older setting, fathers were not meant to be working at home or they did very little especially heavy jobs. Nowadays, since the mothers are working to be able to provide second income, the head of the family or father spends most of his time with the family because they don’t have to work two jobs. The working mothers also afford to give their children quality education, the mothers understand the advantages of getting better education and provide all the necessary facilities for ideal development and omit the unnecessary ones. The working mothers may find more affection on their children when coming back from work; this is because they spend more of their time at work. The family of working mothers feel more attached to the kids and vice –versa. Thus, children and mother become attached to one another (McClain, 2005). The working mother’s children always become practical and intellectual. They are able to take wise decisions by themselves and also become independent, confident and also active in their work. Disadvantages of Working Mother Some of working mothers take their children to the childcare centres as they lack time to take care or spend with the children. In this case, the mother needs compromise in the development of their kids and always feels guilty for not sparing time to raise her kids. Working mothers don’t have the chance to experience important events in the child’s life. Working mothers have to deal with the pain of having someone else share their children’s joys and anxiety. When a mother spends time with their children they shower them with love and care and this creates a bond between the mother and child. Children require to be given a lot of attention by their parents. Sharing motherhood with a stranger is painful to the mother who has to work. The working mother is unaware of the virtues that the stranger will instil in their children in their absence. Every parent wants to instil positive values and virtues in their children. Most parents use day care facilities and babysitters to take care of their children. A day care is a facility where children are taken care of in the absence of their parents. The working mother will take their child to a day care centre where specialists take care of the children of the children when the mothers are at the workplace (Lott, 1994). The mothers then pick up their children after their working hours. Babysitters also known as housekeepers take care of the children at their parents homes. When the mother gets home from work they release the babysitters to leave as they are available after work. The daycares and babysitting services imply a cost on the side of the parent. This is an extra burden to the mother who would otherwise save this if they stay at home. When the mother is at the work place she is often distrusted worrying whether the child is doing fine. After work the mother suffers massive fatigue and anxiety and these affect their health. This affects the ability of the working mother to be effective in doing her work and carrying out homecare responsibilities. The stress that a mother experiences coupled with the responsibilities they have to deal with in their families could be overwhelming and cause ill health. This could in turn affect their children health as the mother has poor health and no time to take care of their children (Aisenberg & Harrington, 1998). The working mother often retires from work physically exhausted and frustrated and this makes them to lack time socializing with their families. These children often have poor social relationships and usually act out when they are at school. Parents play a major role in influencing the virtues that their children acquire. Conclusion It is undeniable that women too regardless of taking care of their families need to take up jobs to empower themselves financially. It would be unfair to deny women jobs by restricting them to be stay home mothers. Mothers who are working impact both positively and negatively to their children, work and spouses. The society should provide the necessary support that working mothers require to enhance their productivity. Mothers too have the academic qualifications that employers need and should be accorded equal job opportunities with the other people. Working mothers should find a way minimizing the negatives associated with them working these includes being self employed as they get enough time to spend with their children. Taking part time jobs is another option for mothers to enable them spends time with their families.
