Control of situations by people with INFJ type of personality is based on the ability to predict how situations will be. INFJ personality types mostly base their decisions on feelings and the social implications of their decisions rather than depend on logic. This personality type is also referred to as the "Advocates". My main strength according to the Jung Typology personality test is that am very decisive. I can make decisions and follow through on them with conviction. Another strength is the ability to be determined and passionate about things I believe in.

This passion coupled with the compassionate nature of INFJ personality types makes me able to be creative in coming up with solutions. These strengths give my personality type and ability to be effective at their job as they use their ability to be determined and do anything to achieve their goal sets them apart from other personality types. I need to feel that am helping people and executing my plan well in my job to achieve self-satisfaction, therefore, making me more effective at my job because if I do not do my job well, I won't achieve self-satisfaction.

According to Vollrath & Torgersen(2000), INFJ personality has a hard time coping in a workplace where they have to execute someone else's policies. This is due to our weakness of being idealists. We want to pursue our own goals which may not mesh well with the organization's goals or policies. This limits our job choices to careers that we can easily grow into leadership positions where we can be part of the policymakers. I would prefer establishing my practice in my career path where I would control the policies and how well the job is done because being perfectionists is another weakness of my personality type.

Ideal situations are not easily achievable and therefore being in control being able to bear the burden of this weakness other than inflict it on other employees if I was in a leadership position in an organization. As someone with an INFJ personality type, I am always looking for a new cause and a new goal to achieve. This is a weakness as it can lead to exhaustion really fast as there is no way to blow off steam. This weakness would affect my career choice in that I would choose a career that is directly involved in helping people such as Medicine or psychology.

In this way, I routinely help people and work towards achieving my goal on a daily basis. INFJ personality types are highly motivated in their work even though they can easily burn out. This is due to the clear set goals and plans they put in place before they undertake a project (Deci& Ryan,1985). However, this motivation is limited to situations where they feel free to express their creativity and insight at the workplace. In a situation where I feel am not helping people and doing something in line with my values, my motivation will be low, and I won't be productive in the workplace.

To increase my strengths as an Advocate personality type, I can listen more to people who encourage me because I am really sensitive and focus on the positive side of things in every situation. This will make me feel more trustworthy and make me capable of handling my professional and personal relationships better. As someone who is inclined to make decisions based on feelings than logic, I can use this weakness as a building stone to achieve a good relationship with subordinates, be able to trust them, and delegate work more often.
