Walking meditation is possibly the kind of meditation that is most responsive to the on-the-go current lifestyle. Countless people find it tough to set separately time to sit and meditate, but just about everybody does some walking in a day, even if it is only a tour to the grocery store or the park (Nguyen 18). Since most of the people do not get sufficient exercise, walking meditation provides the platform or the opportunity to retain both the mind and body in a healthy state. Walking meditation can be a lot of fun and beneficial if made a routine.

It helps people to enjoy the experience of having a fit body, and can be very luxurious and immeasurably pleasurable. It can be incorporated in our daily and most common activities. Therefore, it does not result in conflict of interest. When walking, it is essential to concentrate and initially focus on the body such as legs, knees and then focus with the mind. The final culmination is focus on the emotions and the surrounding (Nguyen 33). Karma yoga enables individual to extend selfless service to others without expecting any form of remuneration from the recipient of the good and moral actions.

It follows than one gives up his ego and deserve the divine provisions of nature in a manner that is selfless and follows the rules of doing the right thing. Karma means taking actions. These according to karma yoga must be unavoidable and not attached to any personal interest. As a result, one fulfills his noble mission from his time of birth to death. Walking comes in handy when we touch on Karma Yoga. It is in the effort of own personal service that one comes across opportunities to exercise to extend good actions to the needful recipients (Nguyen 76).

The recipients may be fellow humans, animals, plants or even innate objects. This serves as killing two birds with one stone. The good in every individual arises through these two practices. As a result, the environment of the walking person is improved as well as his own self. The best thing with karma yoga is that it is not enclosed to a particular setting. It is a practice that remains in the individual and always viable for application at any time. It is a practice that pertains to human behavior therefore walking only does good to identify the opportunities to practice it.

Since the settings for application of karma yoga are everywhere, the practice of walking should be a routine for people to fulfill what stands out as one of the main roles of mankind- to extend selfless service to the people, plants or things that need it. It calls for the understanding of the benefits of walking from all individuals (Nguyen 92). Therefore, karma yoga should be an indispensable part of walking meditation and also a vital goal. Integration of those two results in self and selfless development.

Buddhists also have a practice of loving kindness. This practice is also known as metta bavana in Buddhist language. This is a developmental practice that they would radiate to the external world through interacting with people. This interaction involved walking to different places such as markets, streets or villages. In walking around, the individual can focus on wishing well for everything that is in the surrounding including wild animals. This practice may not involve
