This research is a scientific study which deals with the study of human behavior and mental processes, and to understand complex human behavior it is important to include the organism’s environmental factors. Human behavior is adaptable and has a huge potential to change (Elder, 2003). This potential can be based on cognition or environmental settings or forces. As human life progresses, human behavior also changes. It is pertinent to mention here that human development has various dimensions.

Psychology deals with aspects that sprawl in cognitive, moral, physical, sexual and other dimensions (Heckhausen, 2010). It also addressed the dependent variables which affect behavior and forces that help in behavioral control.Before getting into the details it is important to keep the following point in mind. First, here are perspective in the study of human behavior and mental process. Second, Psychology deals with the mental process in addition to human behavior. And last, there are aspects of development (Cognitive, Mental, Motor, Pre-Natal & Post Natal, Moral, etc.). Section one of this paper deals with different theories of lifespan development.

Theories related to behavior, cognitive, humanistic and psychodynamic schools of thought will be discussed. Note that, before putting a comparative analysis, these theories will briefly be explained.Health and social care need a special input form psychologist and the caretakers. It is important to comprehend the client’s age-action and life stage. Human development has a Stimulus-Organism-Response and Environment structure to deal with (Lindsay, 2000). This section first deals with basic definitions of theories and perspectives.

Developmental Psychology deals with how and why human changes or stays the same over the span of their life (Berk, 2004). It covers human life by dividing lifespan into stages.
