The political and economic issues that have been surrounding the security situation in UAE are discussed with the increased issue of power balance, and security dilemma in the region explored to give an overview concerning the security situation in the United Arab Emirates and especially the Arab seas. The economic issues facing the UAE and the need for ensuring security in the Gulf region in the process of ensuring economic development have been explored. The Arab seas have been playing a crucial role in the economic development of the United Arab Emirates.

Therefore, the security of the Arab seas has been considered to be of great concern due to the role played by the Arab seas in the exportation of petroleum. Besides, the role of the major straits in the Arab seas in the process of affecting the world economy through oil exports is explored. Lastly, policy recommendations concerning the future strategies that need to be employed in ensuring security in the Arab seas. Introduction The United Arab Emirates has undergone some period of instability and tensions that have mainly been caused by the increased weakening of the state system in the region.

There has been an increase in the state armed groups, where there has been an increase in terrorist organizations that have led to increased insecurity in the region. The United Emirates has provided a unique position on Syria, Yemen, and Iraq conflicts and increased tension due to the increased tension that has been in existence between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The governments in the Middle East have been suffering from conflicts and increased crises of legitimacy. The conflicts escalating in the Middle East have led to the creation of massive humanitarian challenges as some nations in the Middle East are giving terrorist organizations the space to recruit fighters posing a threat to international security.

The engagement of the conflict in Syria and Russia affected the countries in the Middle East where the United States has been considered as an important source of help to countries like the United Arab Emirates.
