Personal Ethics Statement - Essay Example

Whatever decisions I make every day should be consistent with my values and show great respect to others.

I believe that I shouldn’t invade other people’s spaces negatively and respect the values they keep. My values ascertain that I am happy and are at peace all the time. I always believe that everyone should treat other people with respect since we are all equal. When I treat people fairly, I hold myself accountable for my decisions. It means that I will treat them how I want to be treated.

My approach to individual values is a bit different, and I also depict it well in my personal ethics statement essay. Usually, I formulate my values using various principles, mostly form how I relate with others and the decisions I make. For instance, I concentrate a lot on my expectations for other people.

I know that I do not have similar expectations as other people, and that is one of the most amazing things about creating valuable values. I am always aware that I cannot control my behavior, and every situation in life and other individuals have different capabilities of resolving issues. If I place my trust in other individuals, I easily overcome this weakness that is growing to be a big blind spot. I have the following strengths:

• Courage, when faced with great problems
• I don’t fall victim to fast decision making and also can tackle and challenging problems
• I believe in friendship, and I am always in a good connection with people that I trust
• I highly value individuals that I work with as they provide me with great motivation.

No one is void of weakness that affects their status. Individual values are a product of a person’s strengths and weaknesses, and when they are aware of all of them, they create and keep stronger beliefs. My faults are hardness to heart, the feeling of entitlement, and confusion.

I do all my best to come to terms with my weaknesses and choices because I know they massively help in improving my values and close the empty gap. Whatever values I keep, define my behavior, and create my personality. Therefore, whatever choices I make and the relationships I hold are a result of my ethics defined by my behavior.

My values determine my actions allowing me to see everything. Every time I dig deep into my emotions, I make better decisions. Maintaining an open heart and revising my ethics gives me an opportunity for corrections and improvement. That is the best way I have learned to develop my values and become a better person through everyday interactions.
