A book on Benjamin Franklin is never an exception in this regard and it deserves a little mention that a book on such a great personality arouses inquisition and interest of millions of readers at the same paradigm.  Benjamin Franklin was a great man and he had many facets. But of all his personality traits, his political feature was the greatest and the most important one. His autobiography not only opens avenues for his  personal life and evolution as a great man but at the same time, it also connects to many other important socio-political and historical events associated with his life and time which finds a very authentic description in the book.

And all these features which come out directly from the horse's mouth are the most valid and authentic than any other perception coming from different great biographers or political scientists. Thesis Statement  This essay intends to explore the subtle and intricate facts and incidents provided by Benjamin Franklin regarding his life and time along with its validation as a historical text at the same plane.  The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin: The Review (a) Intention of the Author behind Writing the Book To comprehend the intention of the author behind writing this book requires a gaze beyond the lines incorporated within the premise of the autobiography of Franklin.

At the outset of the review itself it deserves mention that the book is not written with an intention to portray the man as a revolutionary. The text abruptly ends at a phase which is much before Franklin's evolution as a revolutionary. Very interestingly, the book gives a very fascinating picture of a man who is about to transform into a great visionary and one of the founding fathers of the great nation of America. The book also gives hint regarding the beginning of the trouble between Britain with the American colonies.

At the same time, the book unfolds the fact regarding the relation of Franklin with the British military. But most important of all, the book deals with the image of Franklin evolving as a political power when the seeming tale comes to a closure. Nevertheless, invariable there is a sense of charm, and wisdom potently displayed in the description of everyday life of American society before the onset of the revolution. At this point, it seems that the connection of a great man's life with the society which actually produced such great sons of the soil amid the turbulence was displayed and the real intention of the author was to portray the social values and time which actually formulated and gave birth to America's first revolt for the independence. (b) Generalizations Incorporated in the Book The book "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin" shares intricate details of Benjamin Franklin's life and the incidents which actually paved the way for the evolution of a great man and a great movement.

Therefore, it was quite acceptable on the part of the author as well, as those most intricate details will not be rendered in the memories of its readers for a long time. He needs to take certain initiatives which will allow the readers to retain the flavor of the book for a long time if even the details of the book escape the minds of its readers. The life and society of America in the pre-revolutionary era is
