The website is geared towards proving health information to individuals and families. It captures diverse health aspects including dietary guidelines, health communication, and literacy, guidelines on physical health, dietary reference intakes and health care quality and patient safety. The website provides a platform in which one is able to understand their health depending on their gender, age, and physical attributes among others.

It is quite easy to locate the website using Google as the search engine. By just typing ‘health.gov’ on the browser, the website is the first to be generated. The website domain is ‘gov,’ which can be interpreted to mean that the website belongs to a government-affiliated agency. Actually, it belongs to the US Department of Health and Human Services. Further, the website is under the coordination of the Office of Disease Prevention and health Promotion, the Office of the Secretary and the Office of the assistant Secretary of Health in the US Department of Health and Human services.

This website in every respect deals with matters relating to health. The universal resource locator (URL) for the website is http://www.health.gov/. www.health.gov is an outstanding website that commands a lot of authority hence its credibility. Being owned by the Department of Health and Human Services, it is expected that it will abhor the most credible information that is obtained from reliable sources.
