The movement was encouraged by other movements especially women who were voicing their opinions in other movements at that time. It saw early success and was quite helpful for providing sweeping success to many of the political pro choice candidates. It soon started shaping up with organizations backing it, funds started pouring in and then the whole structure of the movement changed. The pro life was formed as a counter measure of the pro choice movement and it sought to seek the moral and the social issues pertaining to abortion that the pro choice movement invoked.

It highlighted the need for a reformation of the society in a more responsible and moral way. They fought their opinions in the light of morality and even religion and sought for the safeguarding of human life which they argued started at the point of conception. By enlisting the different types2 of social movements like innovation movements, radical movements, reform movements, conservative movements and so on I will discuss why I will choose reform movements. Here I will take up the reformative movement about abortion and discuss in detail how pro life and pro choice groups emerged for voicing their opinions about the issue.

I will talk about this movement and its affects locally and internationally. I will discuss in detail the issues regarding abortion that the society faces and also of the individual like if the mother who is pregnant is very young she would have to have consent from the parents or guardians and the implications of that and why the people involved with pro choice think that it is the individuals right as per the freedom of choice and why the pro life see it as murder and the background of such thinking and beliefs.
