MARKETING RESEARCH FOR DECISION-MAKING M8_A1/2 goes here] [Your goes here] [Due the paper] Marketing Research Marketingresearch is a systematic process of solving marketing related problems and issues being faced by a company. Some of the main areas where the role of marketing research is imperative include market competition, product marketing, customer perception, and sales promotions. Marketing research seeks to come out with the ways a company can interact with the consumer to know their expectations about a newly manufactured product or about a product that the company is going to manufacture (Upson, n.d.).

The process of marketing research includes some key steps, such as, colleting information about the actual business issue, recording the information, analyzing the collected information, and drawing results based on the analysis (Akrani, 2011). Using this process, managers are able to resolve a number of marketing issues easily and successfully. I consider marketing research the backbone of marketing management because it deals with the resolution of core marketing issues. Marketing research helps companies in identifying target markets, knowing customers; demands and expectations, knowing customer perception, and increasing market share by developing products according to the needs of customers.

Research is always beneficial in coming out with correct decisions about complex issues. I would definitely use research when making decisions about any particular marketing issue because it is the best way to resolve core marketing issues.ReferencesAkrani, G. (2011).
