The top designations in an organization always reflect a formal culture within the organization and would mostly hold the responsibilities of formulating strategies for fighting back the rivals. The leadership powers possessed by them are quite extended in range. However this approach seems to become lesser formal and the leadership powers decreases while moving downwards along the organizational ladder. e. It is recommended that the leaders should focus more on team building and trust building activities within the team rather than focusing on strategies. 4. Part One Once I found my cousin crossing the road with his earphones on, I scolded him and told him that it is in appropriate to get distracted while crossing the road since it can cause major harm and even loss of life. I learnt this very lesson from my teacher who addressed the entire class once and discussed the bad habits among today’s youth. During that time she discussed this particular issue. I believe that a leader is someone who becomes successful in influencing his/her follower and as I made my cousin realize the importance of my words, I think that its leadership that resulted in the enablement of someone to act. Part Two During my vacations I borrowed my friend’s digital camera as mine was not working then. I took it for camping and left it inside the tent while exploring the surrounding for a while. After few minutes as I returned back I found that the camera was not there. I searched so many times and in every possible place but it was not there. I was worried and tensed thinking of the consequence and I know it’s pretty expensive and I can’t afford to buy such an expensive camera. I called my father and got a good amount of scolding but then he promised me to buy another camera for my friend. Additionally he told me, “don’t borrow something that you yourself can’t afford and specially don’t always think that father is there to rescue from every problem” and he told his from his own life experiences. Overall it can be said that for enabling someone to act in a particular way, it’s necessary for a person to experience it themselves or derive the knowledge from other’s experiences. 5. a. Army/leaders link rewards and appreciation to standards of excellence by determining the experience of the soldier and the number of combats they have encountered. This practice helps the leaders to identify the appropriate person who will lead and train the next batch of new soldiers. The goal of the DA Military Awards Program is to give substantial recognition for demonstrations of valor, extraordinary administration or accomplishment, exceptional abilities or capabilities, and demonstrations of valor not including real battle. They also offer awards for good conduct and thus in these ways they improve the quality of the army personnel. b. The standards in the U.S. Army are very clear and are well explained that requires no further changes. The standards are mostly communicated during meetings. c. Leadership is pivotal to the accomplishments of the U.S. Army. The best pioneers are the individuals who "lead from the front". Thus here leadership doesn’t only imply “walking around (visible) and listening” rather co-operating, guiding and experiencing the issues that are encountered by the followers. d. Support here means mental support and boosting one’s confidence where an individual gets the feeling that he has the capability of doing the task himself. e. The U.S. Army is very organized and disciplined and its dynamics are remarkable and therefore no further changes are recommended. 6. Part One While answering this question I remembered the incident of my friend who failed in his class test and was very upset about it. She was an average student however during that particular term she got distracted by some other friends and her studies were hampered. On the day of the exam, she was extremely nervous. The when the results were out, I found her crying and totally devastated. Her condition was terribly bad as she was afraid of facing her parents. Then I told her that it’s more courageous to face the problem than to run away from it. I provided her support and ensured her that at first her parents would scold her but later on they will understand the issue. I encouraged her to appear for the exam once again and provided her with all the study materials of mine. I was right, it’s true that her parents scolded her but later on they provided enough mental support to their depressed child. Finally my friend successfully cracked the exam in her next attempt and this is how I “encouraged the heart” of my friend. I am grateful to my grandparents who continuously taught me to help and support the physically and mentally weak people, because of their teachings today I have been able to guide my friend and lead them towards an encouraging direction. Since the leadership ability boosts the confidence of a person therefore it is the significant responsible element towards encouraging someone’s heart. Part Two A similar situation happened in my life when I felt extremely sad as I lost my phone that my mother had gifted me on my birthday. Then my mother encouraged my heart by saying asking me not to get so much attached to lifeless materials. She told me that if a person spends his/her life happily and in a healthy way, then material possessions can be obtained again. But health and happiness, once lost, can’t be regained. My mother was able to tell me this because of her positive thought which is an important component of leadership. Thus overall it can be said that any person can become a leader if he or she has the positivity and optimistic point of view within him/her. 7. Monetary requirements affect the Army overall; from the Soldier at the most minimal level to the largest amounts of charge, the Army has needed to make conformity to help current mission necessities. One change that influences each rank of the army is force restructuring. However restricted monetary support by the government proves to be a major impediment in the growth of the U.S. Army. In the words of the Secretary of the Army Joseph W. Westphal, Ph.D., “We are going to continue to make adjustments in the force structure across the Army.
