The author has adopted a realistic approach by relating his thoughts with anecdotes which are entertaining and enables readers to associate different theories with their own personal lives. The author wrote the book with the sole objective of helping people to improve their communication and perception skills so that they are able to interact in a better way and create positive impressions. There are a large number of people who struggle in their daily lives to get along with other people, socially and at work places.

The author realizes that dealing with people is the biggest issue which they face, irrespective of their occupation and lifestyle. Life seems to be a complex struggle of making good impressions. Soft skills such as the ability to lead, understand others and clarity in speech are essential factors which are required for working individuals. The book explains developing soft skills in a manner such that others can form a sense of liking towards an individual. There are a number of skills and real life anecdotes discussed in the book in respect of how individuals can make others like them and develop a sense of better understanding of themselves and of others.

The author states that in order to gain maximum understanding from the book, one should possess a deep interest and determination towards developing the ability of dealing with other people (Carnegie 3). Organizational behavior is all about developing healthy and positive communication environment within the firm.
