The ending is happily-ever-after kind since the rapist dies; and, is satisfactory since the viewers loathed him and wanted him to die. The ending is reasonable, gratifying, and reassuring.
One instance of love is between Jack and Susie. Jack loves her so much that suffers from a heart attack and leaves no chance of finding out the murderer. He is the one who tries to bring the family together, like when he tries to make his son accept the fact that his sister has died. The second instance of love is between Susie and Lindsey. Lindsey is growing up but cannot forget the death of her sister. She risks her life in Harvey’s house. The third instance of love is between Jack and Abigail. Abigail betrays by beginning a relationship with Fenerman, then leaves her home, and goes away. She reunites with her family after Jack has a heart attack. Hence, the love between husband and wife has been strange.
