The galaxy may be teeming with life. There may be millions of civilizations.” (Introductory remark) Human beings are the crown of creation according to the version of human beings, but from the cosmic point of view, this is a myth. How foolish it is on the part of humankind to conclude that human beings on Planet Earth are the crown of creation, and what we see above in the sky, and what we cannot see though our naked eye, and that which is not seen till today even with the aid of the most modern equipment, is barren and unfit for habitation of any type.

Man has committed such gigantic blunders of reasoned assumptions in the past (like the one mentioned above) and subsequently amended his beliefs on the basis of scientific evidence. In the presence case, the scientist Brett Lawson is convinced from the spiritual points of view about the existence of alien civilizations, far more intelligent and advanced in the real sense of the term. He states, “The Star of Bethlehem, which guided the three wise men to the birth of Jesus. Many argue the star was actually some sort of spaceship that could appear or vanish at its own discretion.”(10) What could be their objective and what would happen if aliens visited the Earth?

This is the sum and substance of the story. Finally, the instant reaction of Barrett Lawson as elucidated by the author is incredible for its deep insight. Describing the image he saw he exclaims with Tara, “I mean, it appeared to have slowed down and then I swear it began moving in another direction. Like it was being controlled from within.”(2) This ‘controlled from within,’ is a great spiritual observation, which clearly indicates that the aliens are far superior to human beings in knowledge.

Even amongst the human beings, the one who are controlled from within and those with secular credentials only, vast difference in their approach to life exists. Pfeffer has created a perfect scientist in the characterization of Barrett Lawson, as he proceeds with his assumptions and research inspired by the religious convictions. This is evident from his assertion about the birth of Jesus. The author elucidates the belief system of Lawson, “…According to these theorists, it led to the three wise men to the location where Jesus was born, and then miraculously came to a halt.

They further claim that it wasn’t a star because to pinpoint where Jesus was, it had to be closer to the ground than a normal star. If it wasn’t a UFO, they say, then one would have to accept the traditional explanation that it was a miracle produced by God.”(10) Such individuals have a positive approach to the beauty of life and the creative force that sustains the cosmos, unlike the atheists, who argue that the issues available for the reasoning of the human beings alone are the final frontier of knowledge and science is empowered to dictate terms to spirituality.

In fact, the present level of advancement of scientific research is kindergarten stuff as compared to the profound truths embedded in the spiritual science. Spirituality is the science of sciences. Lawson is thoroughly convinced that in the other planets also advanced
