Criminal justice and private sector Before probing into the topic of impact of law, democracy, government policy and employee behavior on criminal justice and private sector, we should get familiar with the term crime as to know what crime actually means and why we need to implement criminal justice mechanisms. So, starting with the term, crime, it’s a disgraced act or an offense or violation of a public law. Any act which goes against the laws made by the government or any action taken by an individual which goes beyond the boundaries of any specific law, it’s said that a crime is committed. While talking about crime, we must talk about criminal justice. Criminal justice means those systems or institutions which are owned by the government of any specific country and its prime responsibilities are deterring, mitigating criminal acts or violations made by the criminals or offenders and sanctioning them. “Criminal justice provides parity and righteousness to offenders regardless of their casts” (smart, 2006). Criminal justice systems are those systems which are designed by a country in order to prevent crimes and violation of laws. These systems are very helpful in prevailing peace and promoting stability in a country. When we talk about criminal justice, we should also talk about the link between criminal justice system and the private sector. Various individuals from the private sector work as representative for the achievement of criminal justice goals. These professionals from private sector are fully trained by the criminal justice institutes for the purpose of detecting and arresting different sort of criminals involved in various criminal acts. Having gained knowledge about criminal justice system and the private sector, let’s now talk about those departments or pillars which are of great importance in prevailing peace and stability in a country and which have a deep impact on criminal justice system and the private sector in any specific country. Factors affecting criminal justice and private sector The pillars or factors which have an impact on criminal justice and private sector are: Law Democracy Government policy, and Employee behavior Before describing their impact on the criminal justice system and the private sector, we will first describe the link between all of these important factors. We all know that no country can prevail justice without implementation of a proper criminal justice system. These criminal justice systems help the government of any country to provide justice to the people and charge the offenders and the criminals. But for doing this, all the four pillars, mentioned above, play a critical role in successful implementation of a criminal justice system. They are all interlinked with each other and work in proper collaboration and association in order to get the criminal justice system to the heights of success. No government can be run without a proper set of rules and regulation. And no democracy can become successful without a proper set of governing policies. Employee behavior can not be sidelined in this respect. They are the employees who work with full commitment in all organizations in order to promote justice and give relief and human rights to the public of any specific state. If any of the above mentioned factors works with less commitment or unfairly, all other factors will be affected and criminal justice can never be prevailed in any society. When there will be no proper implementation of law, government will never be able to work properly because there will be no set of law to be followed by the government. Just like this, when there will be scarcity of talented and experienced politicians in the government, democracy will not be able to progress with success. Let’s now discuss all of these factors and describe what impact they have on the criminal justice system and the private sector. Impact of law on the criminal justice system and the private sector: When we talk about criminal justice system’s implementation in any country, we must talk about a very important factor regarding criminal justice. The factor which we are talking about is law. Law in any country is of critical importance for keeping the level of peace and justice on stable paths. Criminal justice system involves police, law and courts which act interdependently for the purpose of promoting peace and stability of a country. Law can be seen as the main cause of either stability or instability in a country. When there will be effective set of laws applicable in a country, the level of stability will never shake but when the laws and regulations will be weak, stability in a country will never be achieved. Thus it will affect the criminal justice system too. The people having power and approach will be able to get the decisions in their favor and the people having no political approach or money will suffer. Law is one of the basic pillars in maintaining the security structure of any specific country. When this pillar will be weak, the structure of peace and security will also be weak but when it will be strong and full with equal rights for every person regardless of power and money, the structure of peace and security will also be strong and will prove to be beneficial for stabilizing the level of criminal justice system in a country. Law has also a great impact on the private sector. Employees working in different organizations and courts should have in depth knowledge of all the rules and regulations being implemented in the country in which they are working. The employees from the private sector can work with full attentiveness in their respective organizations only when they will be aware of the rules and regulations regarding those organizations and the country. Impact of democracy on the criminal justice system and the private sector: Before going into the discussion of impact of democracy on criminal justice and private sector, we should first get to know the real meanings of democracy. Democracy means public’s opinion which is in majority. Democracy prevails when the opinion of the vast majority of the public is heard and government acts according to the public’s will and opinion. Democracy is never like dictatorship in which one person or government imposes the decisions on the public without hearing and knowing what the public wants. If we talk about democracy’s impact in a criminal justice system and private sector, we can say that democracy plays a vital role in promoting mechanisms of criminal system in any specific country. Such rules can be made with the approval of the public which are accepted by the majority of the public because it is the quality of democracy that every single decision id taken by the approval of the public’s desire. Democracy always has a significant impact on any country’s criminal justice system because it prevails human rights. Social equality is promoted and publicized when democracy is appropriately applied by the government of any country. Democracy also has a great impact on private sector as decisions regarding each and every matter in any organization or government institute is taken according to the employees’ will. It doesn’t mean that decisions depend upon employees’ will rather an acceptable decision is taken which doesn’t affect employees’ rights. Impact of government policy on the criminal justice system and the private sector: If we discuss impact of government policies on criminal justice system and the private sector, we should say that government policies make a noticeable impact on criminal justice system and the private sector. Government policies should be made such that they prevail the fairness of criminal justice system. When the government policies will be dynamic and public facilitating, then not only the crime rate will go down but also public will feel evenhandedness in every matter of their lives. Government policies can impact criminal justice system both negatively and positively. Negative impact in a sense that when government will make such policies regarding law which favor only elite or selected class, then inequality will prevail in the criminal justice systems but when the policies will be same for every class of public, then justice and fairness will prevail in the criminal justice system. In the private sector, employees working in different organizations get affected by the government policies. The impact happens in a sense that all organizations are run according to the policies made by the government. So when the policies will be favorable, the private sector organizations will do their work effectively and efficiently. Impact of democracy on the criminal justice system and the private sector: Employee behavior also have a deep impact on criminal justice and the private sector because in a sense of employees’ commitment and dedication towards their work. When the employees of any organization or criminal justice institute will work with full commitment, assurance and fairness, criminal justice will prevail throughout the country. But if they work with less attention towards work or with less dedication, level of justice will get unstable and it will have a detrimental affect on the country. So, we can say that employees’ behavior and their dedication towards work is of critical importance for prevailing criminal justice and the private sector. References Smartt, U. (2006).
