It becomes all the more challenging when, in view of the nature of technology itself, the sole motive that gears these service providers happens to be that “whoever captures the market first gets away with the biggest share of the stake”. Hence there being so many in the market and the competition is still rising. As the market capturing techniques observed previously are clearly demonstrating that “whoever captures the market first gets away with the biggest share of the stake” as in distribution networks, channels and has the most users at any future times to come. Besides competition for capturing markets before the others could do, even in areas where the distances are large and the physical and natural terrains not so hospitable, and challenges like binding their customers to habitually stick to the use of their own products, dealing with the multiple laws and regulations of each penetrated country and retaining their technical staff and not losing them to their rivals, there is one other challenge which is again inherent in the nature of this technology itself. With rapid advancements in its growth it seems to have eaten up its earlier predecessors. It was like that mythical bird phoenix, which was said to have burnt itself in its nest by singing a song and from its ashes new baby phoenix were born! Take the case of a mobile phone as an innovation which seems to have rendered obsolete the land line communication systems, their connected telephone poles, switch boards and even those who worked for the telephone industry. The competition itself is the biggest challenge when seen from another perspective since there are so many service providers who already are settled in the market. It has come down to every penny spent by the end user. Every one of them are providing the same facilities and packages but obviously with their own labels and catches for the general public to be able to subscribe too. It is rather the same cure with a different display. Seen from the other end competition has given rise to jobs and more white collar work than previously were. It has encouraged people to be able to be machine friendly and learn all the desired CRM’s based out to provided customer support and technical assistance. Manufacturing is also a big industry itself where people are being used on specialized labor skills and those who can bare the monotony in any work scenario or are comfortable with it. Highlighting the challenges in the telecommunication industry is also being extracted by the policies of the telecommunication regulatory authorities in particular regions based out on their agendas. Earlier inventions in communication were confined to the resolving of problem of connectivity only, The accomplishments as mentioned above also are getting to the end user in a more effective way and providing the most reliable networks and services related to the customer’s needs. It has generated more job prospects in regions which were previously not available. The recent accomplishments are also have been geared to gain speed and save the time besides being cheaper. Domain specific as there has been advancement in the industry from AMPS to CDMA and now the most accessible GSM is an example. These have been altered through time and circumstances in a given region providing the best and the cheapest possible way to connect. It has also been accepted at large by the regulators since they do not hinder or overlook their jobs related to bandwidth or frequency allocation. In the complex circumstances where technology itself is growing into smaller and effective packages eliminating or by passing the bigger forces that were previously being dealt with making it more accessible for the end user . It works like the subjective way of research where all the groundwork. The groundwork already done only needs another innovation in the light of or creation to help the existing setup. All the work done in this regards is focused on customer usage and human felt human needs of communicating in a more effective way while being more time efficient and quicker. The fancy gadgetry is also a way to innovate the traditional way of communicating leaving behind all the hitches and the glitches that were previously there. It also helps to be more time efficient and quicker. This has also changed the perception of a common man towards the love of machines as they are becoming more users friendly and more reliable in delivering the desired task. All the work that has already been done as a foundation and as said the “accomplishments” of the past has helped us learn and innovate devices which are built by skipping over various undue operations and thereby becoming speedier and time saving (parameters restraint). The ground work is very complex in itself since it has evolved through time and the technology has been very important as an aid for humans to relate too or the tools by which one can easily perform their desired chores. It is a helping hand or aid by which things which were previously out of bound or out of reach are brought together with on a click of a button. Internet is another dimension of communication which can be related too. It is said to be another step towards being adaptive to the only constant phenomena that is change. As humans and circumstances are always evolving and changing the machines which were an aid are proving to be a helpful tool to aid and to maintain accuracy in records for the ones that pass on. Similarly all the work that has already been done as a foundation and as said the “accomplishments” of the past help us learn and innovate for a safer and better future (parameters restraint). The application of modulation techniques in a telecommunication system applies to the digital way of processing information. The 3 main types in telecommunication are CDMA, AMPS and GSM. They work on different systems which are digital, pulse and analogue. They help transmit information over digital networks through a frame work lay out to support it. There are certain devices used only to transmit which are known as transmitters and other which transmit and receive are known as transceivers (this is applicable on devices based on radio frequency). A mobile phone in itself is of the later kind. GSM is the latest modulation technique or system based on digital transmitting of information. “A small percentage (9% and 4% respectively) of cellular data subscribers surveyed relied on UMTS or HSDPA for mobile data collection, with a massive 85% relying on 2.5G technology in the form of GPRS for cellular mobile data” ("3GSM Survey Reveals Substantial Opportunities for Mobile Network Operators; 3GSM 2006 Congress End User Survey Highlights Need for Converged Data Services." ). AMPS were the earliest earlier developed out of the 3 and was very costly as a layout. Then came were introduced the CDMA and GSM which were cost effective as well as more efficient and effective in transmitting signals. Signals interference is also another issue. The telecom regulatory authorities make sure that there is no interference with any other defense based network or security based transmission. They allocate different frequencies to telecom sectors with their respected parameters and hence that is where these are applicable. AMPS being the pioneer did have multiple issues in places where there are security concerns. CDMA and GSM comparatively are more specific and they do not intrude other networks but work within themselves. The basic purpose of these multiplexing schemes are somewhat similar as the purpose is transmitting and receiving of data, information, voice over different I/O (input/output) channels more effectively and efficiently. The types of multiplexing that exist are (FDM) also known as frequency division multiplexing (Papadimitriou et al. 320). It is used to divide the frequency so that there is not pile up and the right information or piece of data is transmitted where it has too. It only separates the transmitting information bits or bytes and directs them to the portals where they can be further processed prior to being accessed or distributed ahead. It functions more over to help the process of transmitting and receiving data over the input and output channels of specific form of communicating mechanism (Papadimitriou et al. 320). AM also known as amplitude modulation is also part of the FDM and was natively used in radio transmission where it protected the voice transmission on a particular channel and helped it to go across as clearly as possible while other intruding the same was bypassed (Papadimitriou et al. 320). There are also TDM known as time division multiplexing which are also based on the same but rather quicker in their transmission of data. The basic purpose of these multiplexing schemes are somewhat similar as the purpose is transmitting and receiving of data, information, voice over different I/O (input/output) channels more effectively and efficiently. An ATM machine runs on same mechanism of the I/O distribution and separation through multiplexing (Papadimitriou et al. 320). As far as wired and wireless is concerned, wired communication can be compared with the old traditional way of using the landlines and latest wireless gadgets. For a corporate network, they are also cost effective and durable. In is always placed in corner where usually phones belong in a house hold or at work and only the cables length determines its functional movement. On the other hand a cellular device can be used anywhere where there is signal reception. There also have been rumors for a certain amount of radiation extraction from too much usage of mobile phones as it damages the brain cells but then again easily carried and used in times and places where one does not have access to the wired telephones. It is also costly making calls on a mobile phone than a landline as the regulators control the government subsidized (public sector) phone lines and the mobile operators pay more in order to get access of the same, since they are not state owned (private sector). There are many sites related to the structured wiring protocol, as the word itself defines the way wiring is conducted in an organized format for specific tasks to be performed which includes VOIP that is voice over internet protocol and others which help share information like video and voice (Shelly and Vermaat ). Apart from that structured wiring protocol can also be used in other dimensions of organizing previously scattered wires in the most efficient manner.
