The paper "Managing Human Resources In A School" is an exceptional example of an essay on human resources. According to a formal definition, as proposed by various sources, we can define the management of human resources as the various functions that an administrator carries out with respect to the organization's employees. In this paper, I aim to discuss the value and importance of managing human resources within an organization. As I am a teacher, the organization that I will refer to for this paper is a school.

Management of human resources is a very vast area and includes a number of key things. Even in a school environment, which is a small setup as compared to other big organization, the need for efficient management of human resources is felt (Posner, 2007). It will incorporate setting up and assigning resources to the staff (teaching, non-teaching and domestic) involved. It is an established fact that no organization can succeed without an aim. Unless and until there is a proper and directed distribution of the resources in the school, it is next to impossible to provide direction, vision, and targets to the stakeholders (McCauley, Velsor, 2003).

In order to foster an environment of motivation and contribution and to provide the people involved with some measure of their performance, it is not possible for the school to progress and establish its repute. This too comes from efficient management of the resources. Last but not the least, all that is related the school, be it students or staff, look forward to some kind of growth in professional terms or in academics (McCauley, Velsor, 2003). It is important to manage the resources so that there is space for providing openings for both official and unofficial that is both formal and informal development.

Finally, if all this is followed and the resources are effectively managed, only then will be the school able to establish a model in job ethics, handling of people, and empowerment commendable of being imitated by others.
