To understand the American historical expansion, extensive analysis and evaluation of the existing primary sources are significant. The essay analyses and evaluates two closely related primary sources of the American past from Reading the American Past Volume 1 by Michael Johnson (a history of the United States of America and the american revolution in South Carolina). The essay will as well elaborate in detail on some of the main developments in American history.

One primary source (A history of the United States of America) expounds on revolutionary incidences in the United States of America while the other source (America Revolution in South Carolina) is focused on the slave trade in America and its impacts on modern development. The two documents under study present a wide range of information on the social, cultural, political, and economic development of America’s historical past. The American Past Volume 1 was authored by Michael Johnson. The main aim of the text, A History of the United States of America source was to incorporate ideas and experiences from different scholars in one volume. The source was also intended to provide a trustworthy basis for explaining contemporary developments in the United States of America. Michael has offered a decisive overview of the historical social, economic, and political challenges in the development of the modern global superpower state that is the United States of America. The source was created to present an intensive outline of past events in American history. The source offers an unrestrained explanation of the various political, economic, and social wars that occurred in America in the late 1780s and early 1800s. Additionally, the source presents views from various scholars that are used to define political developments in the American states.

American History Volume one author has as well documented the American Revolution in South Carolina, a source that talks about the slave trade and slavery. The source was anticipated to give details on the role of immigrants, native inhabitants, and slaves in the modern flourishing economic prosperity in America. The source also clarifies the historical American revolutions that were solely responsible for modern American civilization. The sources expound on the incidents that took place in the settlement and exploration of American states, especially in South Carolina. The author outlines the impact and contribution of the initial inhabitants in the development of Carolina states. The sources also analyze how the modern unique Carolina state cultures were shaped by the slave trade and immigrants.

The first source “A History of the United States of America” was documented to help scholars, economists, politicians, and historians appreciate and utilize past incidents and experiences in coming up with productive and sensible decisions and policies. The source is also significant to modern learners and thinkers as it offers insight into the necessities relevant to modern and future development. The second source “America revolution in South Carolina” has emerged as an incredibly relevant source of information to the United States of America learners. Lawmakers and legislatures have used the source to make laws and policies that will minimize gender and racial based discrimination. The first source has as well offered an intensive explanation of historical wars, violence, and their impact on ancient economic development. The source has also explained the views and perceptions of different scholars and thinkers on ancient happenings. The source can be presumed to be a collection of views and ideas from different historical scholars and thinkers. However, the authorship has failed to offer a comprehensive means of incorporating traditional happening into modern social development.

The source on America Revolution in South Carolina has explained in detail some historical human injustices in the United States of America. It has expounded on the slave trade in the southern states and its impacts on social development. Additionally, the contribution of immigrants and slaves in America has consumed a significant volume of the source. However, the source is relevant in providing a clear detail on the United States of America’s government’s contribution to the advancement of injustices in the slave trade. The source is also devoid of data on slaves who lost lives during the entire slave business. Although there is a need to come up with comprehensive measures to counter future slave trade, the sources do not offer an acceptable and practical policy to address the future emergence slave trade

In general, the two sources of American history have to a great extent enriched and confirmed the real image of early American history as explained in the lectures and textbooks. As elaborated in the first source, the American past was characterized by endless social political, social, and economic conflicts. The American Past's second source (America Revolution in South Carolina) has also talked about injustices in the American slave trade. However, the second source has to some extent refuted the picture of early American history.
