Creatine Phosphate also called creatine is a source of energy that on reaching the muscle is converted into phosphocreatine. It provides energy during heavy work out when there are depleted levels of ATP and acts as a major source of energy. Source: http://muscle.ucsd.edu/musintro/creatine.shtml.5. During short bursts of extreme muscular activity, lactate (lactic acid) can build up to high concentrations in the muscles and blood. the reason usually given to explain this accumulation is during strenuous work out sessions the oxygen present in the blood cannot produce energy that can satisfy the demand of the body so, there are other processes that start functioning in the body that operates in the absence of oxygen to produce ATP for which lactic acid is the end product.

During exercise, the energy stores in the muscle are depleted and the energy is derived from other processes that are biochemical and metabolic in nature. They tend to release substances like lactate which accumulate and lead to the generation of muscle fatigue because the muscle cannot excrete the metabolites compared to the speed at which they are produced.6. Mitochondria are an essential part of the cell structure which is responsible for the generation of energy. Mitochondria Cytopathy is a disease that affects the mitochondria leads to a decrease in the production of energy leading to multiple organ failure.

The organs that are mostly affected are the brain, kidney, liver, skeletal muscles, and respiratory system. The symptoms of the disease are generally dependent on the system it affects. The general symptoms are memory loss, liver disorders, cardiac diseases, kidney disorders, loss of vision, respiratory diseases, muscle fatigue, and loss of energy. There is no particular treatment for the disease but supplementation of vitamins C and E, Thiamine and Riboflavin is helpful. 7. The relation between DNP and respiration can be stated by describing the characteristics of DNP and the mode of action of the substance.

It is generally termed as a metabolic poison that acts as an uncoupling agent during its action on the electron transport chain. Uncoupling is a process during which the regulation of the rate of electron transport chain cannot be maintained by any gradient. DNP causes changes in the proton gradient by the mechanism of association and disassociation leading to changes in the gradient. The changes in electron transport chain leading to uncoupling of ATP leads to the rapid mobilization of fats and carbohydrates and other substance which provide energy leading to loss of energy and induce weight loss.
