Seminar Paper With respect to Thoreau’s “Where I Lived, and What I Lived For”, the is framed in a manner to showcasereciprocal relationship between meaning of life and residence as the basis upon which reality achievement embedded. This is peddled by our need to wade through those mucks constituting everyday lives which culminates to hitting our firm place, reality. A reality is attached to stamp of existence surrendered to its vision, “This is’ justifies God’s words, “Let there be (Thoreau 2005).
” Thus we are defined through integrating matters of real meaning and purpose within everyday existence determinants. Meaning of Self-reliance is thus fathomed as a loftier doctrine circumventing around active role attached to a particular soul towards reality achievement thus weeding out the notion of one-self financial support. Proper use of one’s mind and soul unfolds our everyday world.Particular actions undertaken by individuals are responsible for their status in the society. Residential environments are strongly attached to our way of understanding life.
One needs to deeply dig deeper to shape his identity peddled by his particular actions. We have to stand firm and critically and creatively get the best of our minds and brains. Standing firm on an individual rational decision informed by inquisitiveness is beneficial and shapes both reputation and one’s life. Reality is not a chance but a hardly-earned phenomenon. It thus calls for an individual sole effort and initiative to unearth the life determining factors within and around his environment.
