It is quite difficult to figure out the difference between a homeless person or people who are recognized as beggars, unemployed. Homelessness can be caused due to several reasons and one of the main reason due to which people are experiencing homelessness is the latest cuts in jobs (Redburn, 1986, p.48). The person in the above picture is undoubtedly a person who is experiencing homelessness as he shares the features of a homeless person. Firstly the person in the above picture is wearing clothes that are worn by almost every individual in the society who once had a home.
The person in the picture is not dressed like a beggar; a beggar dresses up with torn clothes in order to gain empathy of others. Secondly, the person is not asking for money which is the primary difference between a person who is homeless and who is a beggar. A beggar would only ask for money without taking into consideration that recession is being experienced and people cannot pay. The person in the above picture is asking for food and not asking for money. Thirdly, a beggar is lazy and he would never work in return of money and a beggar assumes that his occupation is begging.
The person in the above picture is homeless because he is ready to provide work in exchange of food and this shows that he was previously on a job and share similar skills and knowledge that a person who creates html codes in an organization.
