The West Pier is a well acknowledged pier in Brighton, England. It was constructed in 1866 by Birch Eugenius and has been shut and depreciating since 1975, pending renovation, although following two fires and some storms, almost nothing is left in situ (Longstaff-Tyrell 1999). West Pier was Brighton's second pier, connecting The 1823 Royal Suspension Chain Pier and was considered one of only two Grade I documented piers in the UK, apart from Clevedon Pier (Royal Town Planning Institute 1900). The necessity to restore glory has seen Brighton i360 conception. The i360 is a designed 183-metre (600 ft) watching tower constructed within the seafront of Brighton, next to the West Pier. Strategy and plan were submitted in June 2006 and were accepted by Brighton and Hove City committee on 11 October 2006 with building projected to commence in 2007. The comparison is drawn in that while Brighton and Hove's i360 seafront observing tower develops the West Pier strategies to be reassessed. 2. Background Due to adversity of weather pattern that has been limiting tourism industry or limiting tourist to particular seasons. The building of i360 would cut the barriers and allow tourism throughout the year. This would be possible due to an aerodynamic pod, heated in winter, air-conditioned in the summer and accommodating more than 200 persons at a time. This is an opportunity to allow growth in Brighton and Hove after the fall of West Pier (Best 1974). A conservation team searched for new concepts to salvage Brighton and Hove’s deteriorated West Pier. The West Pier Trust drew up a brief for architectures to submit new plans to save the construction on Brighton’s sea front. At the trust’s yearly general conference, Chairman Glynn Jones supposed a successful strategy must harmonize the proposed i360 watching tower had to be constructed and become successful (Leo 2013). 3. Presentation of options Presentation choices involve assessment why the tower building would be recommendable as a tourist site. In this section, the concept of view is put under consideration and the new pier compared with the old one. 3.1. The Observation Tower An observation tower is a construction applied to view events from an extensive reserve and to generate a full 360 degree variety of vision. These structures are typically at least 20 metres (65.6 ft) high and constructed of iron, stone, and wood. Many contemporary towers are also utilized as restaurants, TV towers, or churches. At 175 metres tall and incorporated with an observation pod approximately 141 metres, the i360 will be Britain's uppermost observation tower remote of London – higher compared to the London Eye (Else 2013). At about four metres broad, the i360 has a willowy, elegant plan. Located on the edge of the Grade II* Regency Square, this structure will make an optimistic benefit to the Regency Square Conservation region, adding optical interest and improving its appearance and character. At the base of the pier will be a shop and hospitality structure and a restaurant and cafe serving for up to 400 persons. Intended to use as little power as necessary over its existence, the Brighton i360 is not merely a great experience for tourists, but will avail social and ecological benefits to Brighton & Hove. The observation tower will be a stylish 21st century landmark and a magnificent complement to the skyline (Leo 2013). 3.2. The New Pier English Heritage depicted Brighton's West Pier as the premium enjoyment pier ever constructed, and it was the initial pier in the state to be appended a Grade 1 listing (Best 1974). The i360 is set to restore parts of the initial pier to their past glory, comprising the Victorian tollbooths (Steves 2010). Sections of the cast iron sustaining structure will be reutilized in the fresh visitor centre and an exposition will allow visitors to discover about the pier's record. Replacing the West Pier that was constructed in 1866 and got closed due to poor conditions; caused by two fires and continuous storms, would be the function of i360 (Easdown 2009). This forms a new pier that is beyond the initial pie due to functionalities and structural architecture (Porter & Prince 2010). 4. Requirements The requirements are necessities that must be considered for proper construction and function of the tower. The i360 will draw an approximated 800,000 visitors annually, boosting the restricted economy by ?5m yearly.  The committee will get 1 percent of voucher sales using the returns to finish up the seafront rebirth in that region, allowing the council to lease out more seafront arcs to commercial purposes. It will advantage Preston Street and is predictable to generate to more businesses coming up nearby.  It will generate over 150 jobs opportunities and over 400 spin-off occupations in surrounding (Emporis, 2013).  4.1. Cost The charge of development of the tower is another requirement assessment that must be considered. London-based constructor Marks Barfield was prepared to initiate developing the i360 on land adjacent to Brighton’s West Pier by 2012. But weeks prior contractors were ready to shift to the seafront location, ?20 million of private financial support was withdrawn. Brighton and Hove City committee has provided a ?15 million credit to onset the ?38 million magnetism and the Coast to Capital restricted Enterprise company has pledged ?3 million (Emporis, 2013). The cost of developing the i360 has consequence some delays. The building period was estimated be around two years with a predictable cost of ?20m (Blue 2013a). 4.2. Public Acceptance Residents and local commercials of Brighton have been awesomely optimistic in their reaction to the i360 and the strategy application was permitted commonly with cross-party social support. The i360 will plea to a variety of visitors, from relatives looking for an enjoyable experience, and relatives on a romantic leisure break, conference delegates, to school groups, and tourists (Emporis, 2013). 4.3. Sustainability The Brighton i360 could be major tourist magnetism, making an important payment to the city's financial wellbeing. It will also be middle to the Council's plan for regenerating the region around the dilapidated West Pier (Leo 2013). Sustainable plan is central to the tower's constructions. For instance, it reemploys the bottom of the former West Pier, and controls the two innovative kiosks and cast iron columns. The policy applying best-practice strategies to development work, paying concentration to things such as noise, atmospheric discharge and drainage (DODS Parliamentary Communications 2008). 5. Comparison of Options 5.1. Cost The cost of construction compared to the benefits the i360 will bring to Brighton and Hove make it a recommendable venture the people of Brighton can undertake. It will also ensure that the glory of former piers is restored. 5.2. Public acceptance The Brighton i360 is predictable to draw at least 800,000 visitors annually, which will create it the city's foremost paid-for attraction. About a 20 percent of those visitors will be fresh to Brighton & Hove (Blue 2013a). 5.3. Sustainability By comparison, the power usage for a passenger using a typical five-mile diesel-engine motor vehicle ride, equal to a 15-minute ride, is approximate 3 kilowatt-hours of electrical energy. The power utility for the i360 is sustainable. The utilization for each tourist is low and since it is entirely motorized by electricity all procedure to function it will eventually come from completely renewable materials, as these increasingly develop (Blue 2013b). 6. Conclusion The process of constructing i360 Brighton pie is sustainable and recommendable since the benefits expected from tourists would boost the area economy. 7. Recommendation Brighton i360 construction is a recommendable project that would boost tourism in Brighton and Hove. References List BEST, P. E. W. (1974). Brighton's West Pier. Brighton (c/o Hon Sec.
