?To Avoid Gaining Weight, Should Eat Healthy Problem: The human race in the era of adolescent is difficult to manage, handle and taken care of. Their nature, traits and sense of judging and captivating world around them is magnified and sometimes get positive and at times is negative at all. One and foremost of such problem is the eating and consumption patterns. The problem is not how much they consume but what do they choose to consume. Parents are conscious about their eating patterns because they are parents and worried about their health. They want them to stay healthy which ensures long life without chronic diseases by adopting healthy consuming habits. Teachers’ concern for their students’ health can be expressed in many reasons. Some are They could stay healthy and live long life They would not fall sick or suffer from chronic diseases. They would regular at their class schedule They shall study harder and efficiently They could be standing in the place where they (teachers) they are standing currently. They are the asset of the country and would serve it in the long run after getting in to their practical lives. The main problem is that students are in the time period where everyone is in hurry wants to get what he/she wants in no time after desiring of that thing. They work less hard for the obtaining of that thing. Students have cafeterias, stalls and other food outlets in their study or recreational vicinities that they cannot prevent themselves from the intake of those unhealthy foods. They can get it without any obstacle when they have appetite for food. They can obtain it because the meal prices are in the range of their pocket money and are economical. The unavoidable aspect of unhealthy food is that it is garnished in a way and has a particular outlook is so appealing that you cannot resist yourself from eating or even tasting it without considering the aftereffects and the consequences. Proposal: In today’s world where everyone needs things happen fast, the problem regarding students’ unhealthy diet has increased to a larger extent. Fast or junk foods are the foods which can be bought within a short time period with a lot more taste. Hence people are willing more to consume such category of food. Due to my personal experience it is a fact that junk food is an addiction, which is affecting many peoples, teenager, students and children across the globe. The fast food is rich with calories, carbohydrates, fatty material and very low in nutrition. So as a result of its consumption, students get obese, ill and sick, addicted and use to suffer many chronic diseases. A recent research has proved that junk or fast food can be a reason for mental disorders and mental problems (Robert 2006). The diet which is low in nutrients and high in calories or fatty material ends up in the mental disorders and many diseases link to human brain. And junk or fast food/ unhealthy diet can increase the likelihood of depression to 60 -80%. Junk food such as pizza, French fries, petty / zinger burgers contain so much saturated fats and are the cause of the people to put on weight tremendously, which in turn cause heart diseases, high cholesterol, sugar, and many other chronic diseases that will put an end to their lives. To avoid such habits among the students race, many measures can be taken. (Assuming the scenario) I will conduct a survey of students in the FAST-NU University from primary data collection. The food place for the fulfillment of their desire for food is their only cafeteria they have in their university vicinity. The cafe holds most of the junk food with high calories, high carbohydrates with very low nutrition in them. They have burgers, French fries, patties, pastries, butter cup cakes, chocolate and cream cupcakes, pizza, rolls, carbonated drinks etc and only one nutritious item chapatti and gravy. Now it is a big platform for the students to consume those unhealthy items in large number and as a result get obese and fall into above describes diseases. My survey consisted of boys and girls in equal numbers i-e 20-20. Who eats more from cafe? Who spends more time in it? Who are in support for the fast food retention in the cafe? Who think food offered should be more healthy and nutritious? Do they find taste of the food good? And many other questions like these are going to be asked. My alternative solution for such podium of unhealthy diet for children is to introduce a cafe which has to offer more healthy, nutrition rich food without any oily or fatty material in it. The place somewhere intake of vegetables and fruits should be promoted among children. Another idea for the prevention of unhealthy diet intake is to force or promote the trend of bringing lunch or eatables from the home. I do not know why the university students think the trend of lunch boxes as a very old and lower one. It is a best way and a measure to ensure the health safety of an adult or a child who is in a growing age, in the era of adolescent. According to my point of view the conduction of seminar and the offering of healthy nutritious food will also be going to be a very healthy step for the encouragement of healthy consumption habits among the students and children for their lives free of disorders and diseases. Roll plays can also be conducted on such topics so the students feel the amusement with the advantages they are told and may be they are willing to adopt healthy diet intake for them. Counter argument: Some people might oppose these ideas such as the management of the university, the cafe owner, dean of the institute and may be some students as well. The idea of the introduction of new cafe may be opposed by the dean and the cafe owner because they would be in certain type of contract limits. The idea of offering free food may not be friendly for the management as it would be a treat to cost estimated for some pre decided time period. The idea of lunch boxes might get opposed by the students who would not be in favor of bringing lunch boxes with them which might remind them of their kindergarten or primary school era. Justification: New cafe introduction does not mean a wholly solely new cafe place but the cafe management may do some alteration in the cafe food arrangements and offer healthy food. Free offering of nutritious food can be in very small amount and declare it as for a very short time limit. The offering of free food is not just to increase the cost limit or budget of the institute but to develop a sense of healthy consumption among student so that after trying that food could see the consequences of that meal. And then they are free to decide whether to go for unhealthy obesity creating food or to adopt healthy consumption pattern to remain fit and healthy. The lunch boxes are the guarantee for the students’ health and long life free of chronic diseases and a mean of getting fit, smarter and no cholesterol on them at all. All the measure proposed are just for the sake of health of children who are the resource and future of a country and after taking these measures the safe future and a healthy society life standard is ensured.
