Games in physical education are said to contribute towards improving the academic performance of the students through improving the student’s emotional and social wellbeing. The students can develop interpersonal skills through participating in the physical education hence contributing a lot to the improvement in their academic excellence. Optimal health in students can be achieved through games in the physical education where the physical activities are important measures for preventing diseases such as high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes (Block, 2007). The participation of students in the physical education contributes a lot in preventing overweight hence making them physically fit. Physical education provides the necessary opportunity for the students to learn skills and knowledge that can make them physically active. However, the physical education teachers have the responsibility of assessing the physical fitness of the students to assess their physical education needs. This can be crucial in assisting the students to gain the necessary physical education skills that are relevant to them considering their needs hence achieving a specific outcome. Conclusion Physical education has great benefits to the students by both enhancing their health and improving their learning capabilities. The participation of the children in a physical activity for one hour in every day brings about moderate intensity, whereas the second recommendation about the participation of the children argues that, the physical activities assists children to develop their muscular-skeletal health.
