The basic change is referred to as the transfer from from fat client to thin client. With SaaS it is no longer required that each organization would need to purchase a separate software package that would suit their needs. This benefit of SaaS is undoubtedly true. With the additive benefits that SaaS provides the organizations embedding it, the bare fact that lies true is that the total computing cost is lessened enormously. Researches carried out over years have proved that the SaaS implementation of ERP that has lasted for about five or more years is certain to have lowered the TCOs.

Since most of the infrastructure does not have to be physically and practically part of the organization’s environment anymore the implementation risks involved diminish automatically. Plainly speaking, the elimination of computer hardware components, Application relevant to security and software like the operating system, database software and security appliances etcetera results in immense reduction of overall Implementation time. The risks involved with the use and implementation of the said things also decreases eventually.

Thus, resulting in the overall reduction of risk factors associated with the organization. The absence of technical issues that are related to the dealings with infrastructure almost no time is needed for the implementation and the structuring phases.
