Indian sculpture is one of the oldest sculptures in the history of human civilization. The sculpture has old relationship with the Indus valley civilization. Indian sculpture focuses towards the spirituality, elegance, magnificence and mysticism. All these are important factors for the Indian sculpture. In India sculpture over the years has been one of the most preferred medium for the artistic expressions. Sculptures have significant contributions in the context of Indian Arts. Jewelry designing also has gone through lots of reformations and changes. In jewelry designing, influences of diversified Indian arts and cultures are easily found. Wooden arts are also a part of the Indian arts. In this case Indian artists conduct their art works on the wood. But longevity of this kind of arts is generally less due to the environmental degradation. In the case of Indian Arts, sometimes organic animal materials are also being used. All these arts are significantly unique in nature. In case of Tribal or Folk arts various strange things are being used. Earthen pots and metals are also being used as the medium of arts. Indian clothing Dhoti Dhoti is a traditional Indian cloth. The cloth is specially designed for the Indian men only. This traditional cloth is generally being used by the elderly people in the country. The shape of the cloth is rectangular in nature. The whole cloth does not have any stitches. Indian men wear this cloth by wrapping it around the waists. The dress is quite similar with the long skirts of the girls. Generally this cloth is 4.5 meters long. The cloth is extensively used in Southern and Eastern parts of the country. Kurta Previously Kurta was a dress specially designed for the men. But day by day it has become dress for both men and women. The cloth is a shirt kind of a thing to cover the upper half of the human body. But the sizes of this dress is far too high than a normal shirt. The name of the cloth came originally from an Urdu word. Indian people generally wear this cloth during any special occasions or during festive seasons. Indian people have borrowed this clothing culture from the Arab world. Indian Salwar Kameez It is one of the most common and preferred cloths by the Indian women. The cloth is highly comfortable. The cloth has significant traditions and cultural aspects. The concept of Indian Salwar Kameez has come from Central and South Asia. The cloth has two parts, one is Salwar and other is Kameez. Kameez is designed for covering the lower half of the women and Salwar is designed for covering upper half. It is a beautiful cloth which is used extensively along the length and breadth of the nation. Indian Sari Sari is a traditional women garment. It is one of the most beautiful dresses designed for the Indian women. Lengths of the saris vary from 4.57meters to 8.23meters. Nomenclature of this beautiful Indian cloth has come from Sanskrit word. The dress is widely used by the Indian women (Condra 89-92). The cloth provides a sense of beauty and exoticness to the India women. It also showcases the simple, gentle and calculative natures of Indian women. There is very little scope of vulgarity in this cloth. Sherwani for Men Sherwani is like a long coat used by the Indian men. The specially designed cloth showcases class and elegance of the Indian men. The concept of this men wear came from the combination of British frock coat and salwar kameez. Generally designs of the Sherwani are Royal in nature and there is high scope of delicate beautiful hand stitches. Indian men generally use this cloth during gala or special occasions. Turban Turban is an Indian head ware. This head wear is highly common with the Sikhs community in the country. Various Sikh religious believes are associated with this head ware.
