Personal ment The modern corporate world is broad and dynamic in nature; an aspect I believe creates extensive research and vocation opportunities in my career path. My major in Business Economics is driven by cultivated passion and the appealing nature of formulating and implementing practical strategies to address potential problems that are prevalent in the business environment. Business Economics is a field that enriches the learner and transforms ones school of thought, as a continuous learning process defines it. Its multidisciplinary approach, accented to by Mazzei, is another contributing factor that establishes my immense potential in this course and equips me with adequate knowledge concerning global markets (221). My profound interest in Business and economics dates back to my teenage years. My father was an Economists. In the course of trying to understand his field of work, I was fascinated by the complex security exchange trading systems in which he spotlighted on. Also, I was fascinated by intricate economic platforms such as online investment hedge funds that were coming up at the time. Owing to my fascination with the subject, Economics as a discipline will equip me with adequate knowledge to master market functionality and enable me to develop skills inherent in my personal endeavors in the business world. The problem-solving aspect of effective management strategies further triggers my concealed curiosity in this course. I have gained a lot from my involvement in various student supporting programs. During my final year in intermediate school, I was fortunate enough to secure an internship at a giant high-tech company in China last summer. All through my internship period, I served in both finance and administration departments. The opportunity provided me with a chance to understand how various systems work together within an organization to effectively enhance its overall performance. My attention climaxed during my field days where I got an opportunity to carry out financial modeling with some experts in the field. I was able to familiarize with policy formulation, an essential component of any institution. My school is described best as welcoming as its environment enabled me to participate actively in all school activities, and I also organized and participated in various functions. As a part of the student council, I represented my faculty in most recreational and sporting activities. I was a member of the school track team and during that period, I managed to secure several trophies. I also participated in school choir based on my passion for singing, where I had an opportunity to interact with various groups as we performed in front of large audiences. This fact enabled me control my stage fright and allowed me to thrive as an eloquent speaker. Various opportunities available at the school environment have allowed me to become a frequent volunteer in various charity works and projects, a factor that has nurtured my sense of responsibility and cultivated a sense of teamwork within me. The whole process is transformational as it has enabled me to acquire a mature perspective. In my spare time, I enjoy reading The Economist and other business columns in newspapers and articles; this has cherished my knowledge growth on economic issues, and updated me on current issues within commerce circles. The major issue that confronted my family and life was that I was brought up in a humble background and raised by fairly poor parents. However, my family consistently instilled the belief in education and its values in me, an aspect that has immensely grown my desire to research and work in the commerce world. Growing up, I was brought up in a relatively humble background. In my teenage years, I had to work part time during the weekends to foot some of my utilities such as books and clothes. This aspect enhanced self-dependency and motivated me to adapt quickly to any demanding situation. I changed a lot as a result of developing an independent mentality, as I cherished the world of commerce and ability to run my ventures. I believe Business Economics is the best career path suited to me, as I am currently fluent in two major languages, a great advantage in the business environment. My desire for self-improvement, coupled with profound curiosity towards problem solving makes me a suitable candidate to enroll in the program. The career alternatives available to an economics degree graduate are vast and immensely attractive. The fact that I choose to work at a tender age opened up my mind to various aspects of life. I have learned a lot of tricks in the business world such as the quickest ways of earning cash and different methods of spotting business ideas. Business Economics is a topic that affects all aspects of life, ranging from administration decisions to household management (Allgood, William, & Siegfried 295). The multidisciplinary nature of Business and Economics add on to its present state and overall importance in the real world. Developing fluency in my family’s native language is important to me, as I am a patriot of China, Born and raised in Shenzhen province. Fundamentally, fluency in my native language has fostered my communication skills as it has enabled me to engage effectively with the Chinese; the predominant language used in my home country is Chinese. However, driven by my passion and curiosity to learn more, I completed my English course at CSU long beach where I got a chance to learn more about the English culture and historical context. I desire to educate people back home on various business aspects both the literate and illiterate. A cause I believe can only be accomplished when transmitted through the inhabitant’s language. My experience back in school shaped my perspective of the political process through various aspects, as I was a member of different clubs including Business Law Club, International Language Club, and Chinese Organization. Most of the fields I engaged in cultivated the experience I now possess today, as they laid platforms on which I explored further opportunities. I desire to participate shaping the future as a renowned economist, studying economics will expand my understanding and provide a more in-depth view of the global market and commerce systems Works Cited Allgood, Sam, William B.
