Without which, an organization may not be operated in a successful way in the market. This is because, in order to manage the human resource of an organization, a leader or a manager plays a very vital role. He motivates the employees towards the roles and responsibilities of the organization for amplification of its product portfolio in market. Task 3 A P10-Overview Leadership is described as the procedure with the help of which an individual might influence other members within a group. It is done, to attain the goals and objectives of an organization or a specific group. However, the leader tries to make intimate relationship by making interpersonal communication with the other members so as to evaluate their inner ideas and views. This might help the leader to act accordingly so that, both the needs and desires of the employees as well as the organization might get fulfilled. By applying the leadership skills and knowledge, the leader tries to motivate the employees towards their duties and responsibilities. Only then, it might prove effective for the leader for the organization to achieve its goals and objectives in long run. Discussion Leader is a very respectful position within a group. One, who may manage and organize all the functions of a group, is depicted as a leader of that association. Once, while working in the organization of Colgate-Palmolive, I attained the opportunity to lead a group of members. Such a decision is taken by the management of the organization of Colgate-Palmolive to make a presentation on the importance of leadership and the essential skills and talents required by a leader. After hearing the decision, it was in a dilemma, whether I might be able to motivate the members of the group to attain the target or not. However, very soon, I sort out my dilemma by thinking about my interpersonal relationship with all other members. It was my most important strength to maintain a group or motivate the group members. With the help of my interpersonal communication skill, I easily motivated all other members towards the objective of making the presentation successful among other teams. Other than this, I also influenced the members by presenting the idea of “Reward or incentives”, on attainment of targets (of making an effective presentation). This idea, proved extremely effective for the team mates and they became quite confident and dedicated towards their duties and responsibilities of the organization of Colgate-Palmolive. This helped them to attain their goals resulting in fulfillment of my objective as well. Side by side, it also helped me in reducing the rate of conflicts among my team mates thereby amplifying their interpersonal relationships. As a result, the desire to help one another might also get enhanced that proved extremely effective for both employees and Colgate-Palmolive as well. Moreover, at that time, I also helped my team mates with varied types of ideas and details so as to make the presentation effective and informative. So, such an activity would remain always fresh in my minds. P11- Effectiveness of the team in attaining the goals A team comprises of a group of individual, who work in a coordinated way for the achievement of a common objective or goal. In order to fulfill an objective, it is extremely essential for the members to perform the duties in a harmonized and careful way. However, in order to make the objective successful, it needs to be designed in a SMART manner. This means that the objectives are specific, measurable, achievable, and relevant and time specific. So that, all the aspects, might be clearly understandable by all the members of the group. Moreover, another important aspect of the team to be effective is consistent communication among them. This may be possible only if their ideas and views tally with one another in an effective way. Otherwise, there might be conflicts among the members thereby making the entire situation extremely worse. Not only this, the members need to be skilled and talented so as to tackle varied types of issues or challenges arising within the members of the group. Side by side, all the members need to be quite confident and aware about their roles and responsibilities so as to make the target successful. Other than this, the members need to be selected in such a way that they are honest and stable over their assigned responsibilities and duties. This might help in enhancement of the image of the employee as well as the organization in the market among other rivals. Along with this, all the members within a team need to be extremely tactful and trustworthy, so that the information of the organization remains secret and controlled. Apart from this, all the members of the team might comprise of the talent of organizing and scheduling the activities in an appropriate way (Sadler, 2003, p.357). This might prove effective for the teammates in fulfillment of the objectives of the team or the organization as a whole. Moreover, it also helps in enhancement of the rate of productivity of the organization resulting in amplification of its revenue and profit margin as well. And the brand value and market share of Colgate-Palmolive might also get improved in the market among other rivals operating in the similar segment. And the ROI and equity of Colgate-Palmolive might also become improved in the market among other contenders in the market. Therefore, it might be stated that in order to maintain an effective team, it’s essential to have tactful and intelligent leader. Task 3 B P12 –Factors responsible for judging work performance At the time of the launch of the new product line (Colgate Sensitive) by Colgate-Palmolive, each and every member needs to offer high level of dedication and devotion towards their roles and responsibilities. Such as, the researcher team, might research vividly so as to detect the pros and cons of the product so as to prove effective for the customers and the organization itself. Apart from this, the sales and marketing team offered varied types of planning programs to the management so that the best one might be detected. Side by side, the branding team might make huge efforts in designing the best promotional advertisements so as to attract large array of customers. This is done, to increase their level of awareness over the strengths of the products as compared to other rivals. Only then the objective of making the product successful in the market thereby amplifying its profit margin and revenues may be fulfilled. Apart from this, such types of activities might also help in amplification of the total sales of the organization of Colgate-Palmolive in the market among others. This might help the Colgate-Palmolive to enhance its financial condition and shareholders demands and desires in an effective way. And the level of loyalty of the customers might also get enhanced to a significant extent leading to amplification of their trust over the brand. It is extremely essential for any brand so as to sustain in this competitive scenario among other contenders. Therefore, from the above scenario, it might be depicted that the team members of my team are extremely encouraging and confident. Moreover, they are also quite tactful and skilled to handle any sort of challenges. Other than this, due to high level of coordination and evenness among all my team members, the system of feedbacks is also extremely good. After testing any specific features, they immediately inform the other members of the group so that it may not prove problematic for them. Moreover, in order to improve the strengths of the product, so as to increase the range of customers. Along with this, most of the members try to maintain benchmarking standards so as to increase its market share and brand value. Side by side, they also try to implement varied types of features within the products so as to satisfy the demands and desires of their target customers. This helps Colgate-Palmolive to retain its position in the market among others. However such type of popularity might be possible only by coordinated efforts of the employees or team mates, viewed in our organization (Pearsonhighered.com, n.d, 435). Apart from this, in order to make the entire above mentioned process to be successful, high level of mentoring and counseling is essential. This may be done, only if continuous monitoring is possible. Then, the rate of defects or weakness might get reduced and the strengths might be increased to a certain extent among others. Moreover, with the help of proper counseling varied types of pitfalls of the employees or team mates might be detected and minimized. But, the entire process may be done by an effective leader or manager, who is confident and communicative to his team mates (Northouse, 2012, p.287). Moreover, he also needs to be quite friendly and approachable by the team mates in terms of discussion so as to resolve any difficulties or dilemmas. Side by side, the process of rewards and appraisals also play a very effective role it is a sort of motivational tool that enhances the encouragement or dedication of the employees or team mates towards work. So, these types of rewards or appraisal procedures might be present but on the basis of his or her previous year expertise and performance within the organization of Colgate-Palmolive. This might prove helpful in retention of the experienced employees within the organization thereby enhancing its status in the market. Consequently, the leaders or the experienced team members might help the under-performing members to increase their abilities and talents. They might also assist them with varied types of ideas of how to improve their ways of action and working behavior. Only then, their motivation and inner strength might get enhanced resulting in amplification of their productivity and performance as well. Similarly, they might always be encouraged for their work rather than regret, so as to make their performance better and effective than others. Additionally, the leader or the experienced team members might try to offer information about the laws and rules followed within the organization of Colgate-Palmolive. Along with this, the type of culture and guidelines maintained with each other so that they might also easily mingle with others. And by doing so, the new members might also become aware about the legislation followed within the organization of Colgate-Palmolive so as to maintain uniformity and harmony within all. Finally, another important aspect that needs to be discussed within the members is the type of practices followed by the management in case of any grievances or troubled situations. So that, the members might act in that ways in order to maintain harmony and uniformity in the organization of Colgate-Palmolive. It is extremely essential to maintain such type of consistency so as to maintain its reputation among others. It is extremely essential to retain its position and faith within the minds of the customers. Therefore, if the above mentioned factors or measures are followed and maintained, then only the organization of Colgate-Palmolive might work effectively for long run. And the employees also might remain in the organization for long run (Burns, 2012, p.345). Task 3 C P13- Plan the development needs required for Noor Although Noor is extremely clever and intelligent person along with high level of experience, still she needs some sort of development. This is because, in order to work in an organization, team work is extremely essential. Coordination and communication are certain other important requirements of an individual (Kennedy & Nilson, 2006, p.452). Without which, an individual might not work in a group within an organization. Along with this, it is also essential to make the judgments on the basis of knowledge and experiences rather than interior feelings. Due to which, the judgments made by her is also quite imperial as compared to other members and so her level of preference is also low. Moreover, she is also quite unethical to her team mates and likes to remain closer to her boss as compared to others. This is because, she presents varied types of information or facts to her boss so as to improve her image in his eyes. But, she might also try to present all details and facts among the other members of the team as well so as to make them more informative and effective. This might prove effective in reducing varied types of conflicts as well within the members of the group. Other than this, she might also offer varied other information and facts to her peers in order to maintain harmony and coordination among all. In-spite of all above mentioned unethical dealings, the organization of Colgate-Palmolive tries to retain her. This is mainly because she comprises high level of PR skills and many other contacts that might prove effective for the organization of Colgate-Palmolive. So, she is still retained in the organization, but the management tries to make such developmental changes in her attitude and mentality so that they might work cordially with all other members within a group. Other than this, Noor might also be given varied types of training and developmental programs so as to improve her skills and talents. This might take around 6 months and may prove helpful both for her and the organization as well. P-14 Success of the assessment process After evaluating the entire behavior and skills of Noor, I arrived at the conclusion that by providing varied types of attitude building programs, her behavior improved. Due to which, she became extremely beneficial for the organization of Colgate-Palmolive. Due to her experience and contacts, she might very easily bring varied types of information and facts regarding the products of the contenders. As a result, it might help the organization of Colgate-Palmolive to alternate the features of their product lines so as to attract more customers. Side by side, it might also help to increase the total sale and profit margin of the organization in the market. It is extremely essential to sustain for longer period of time in this aggressive scenario. Other than this, due to her team work, the members also became able to learn varied types of innovative things and facts. That proved extremely effective for them in their future time. Not only this, due to effective communication skills, rate of conflicts among the team members also reduced by a significant extent resulting in improvement of performance. Along with this, the level of coordination among the members might also get enhanced that is extremely essential for a team work or group project. Moreover, an ethical environment might also be maintained in the organization leading to uniformity and harmony. This might help in creation of a consistent culture, thereby enhancing its reputation in the market among other brands (Constructingexcellence.org.uk, 2010, p.387). Therefore, it might be stated that coordination and harmony is the prime essence of an organization or team member in this era of competitiveness. Conclusion Conclusively, it might be stated that leadership is the root cause of eminence of an organization. If the leader and the team members of the organization are extremely cooperative and dedicative then, the organization might surely prosper in the market among others. Apart from this, a uniform culture is also essential for any organization to improve its fame in the market among others. References Burns, M. J. (2012). Leadership. New York: Open Road Media.
