SLEEPING The black one is sleeping horizontally on the pavement. Different from other apes, gibbons do not create sleeping nests. They just sleep alone or with some gibbons huddled together in a fork between branches. They sleep sitting upright; resting on rough pads situated on their rear ends known as ischial callosities. FEEDING Gibbons are omnivores thus eat plants and meat such as insects. Food competition exist between pigtail macaques gibbons as the two primates forage near one another and at times interacting FORAGING These gibbons are agile during the day, which is typically spent foraging for foodstuff and feeding GROOMING Akin to other apes, gibbons groom each another; they clean the hair of a family member.

USE OF HANDS AND FEET Gibbons are able to grasp and carry things with both and their feet and their hands. When brachiating, they use four fingers of their hands like a clasp; however, they do not use the thumb for this.
