To begin with, each of these paintings has a cultural significance associated with them. Dining Room was produced by Douglas M. Parker. It is quite important because it depicts the real situation in the society at the time of its production. It presents the picture of personality life. Thorough using a symbolic name, the work can be translated to reflect the political scenario to reflect the political role of residential houses in the society. When compared to the public space, it appears important in terms of fulfilling the aesthetical demands of the people. On the other hand, Black Swan was made by Jordan Tinker. It is also equally important and relevant to the context in which it was produced. As a very complicated piece, it can be used to educate the viewers on several issues affecting them in their day to day interactions. Thus, each of these artworks, though produced at different times, is quite important and can be relied upon by the audience to know much about the society (Wollheim 86).
In terms of technique, I would like to commend these artists for producing such pieces of work. On its part, Parker effectively uses the element of coloring in his painting. In order to distinguish the objects in the foreground, middle ground and the background, he manages to incorporate the use of different colors ranging from blue, white, grey and green. These are very useful in this work because they help in distinguishing different objects within the image. Meanwhile, in Black Swan, there is also a combination of variety of colors such as white and black. They are properly distributed in the image so as to enable the painter to produce an appealing piece of art.
