Download file to see previous pages Jewish religious and cultural activities have been characterized by the use of certain images usually exhibited through some specific forms of painting and images of God. Moreover, in the effort to create and exhibit a specific identity, the Jewish culture employed the use of art to portray and exhibit their culture throughout the world. That is, the existence of Jewish art work has been used to differentiate it from other cultures.
The most evident Jewish art work that qualifies as iconoclasm is the type of caps that are usually used by Jewish men. They also have unique art work such as the Hanukkah Lamp that was created in the early 1600’s: This distinguishes them from other cultures. It is therefore apparent that iconoclasm is used in the Jewish culture majorly through the exhibition of their art work.
