In addition, the Indian Government has enhanced the proportion of foreign shareholding in publicly traded real estate companies. Moreover, the Government has been considering the removal of sectoral limits on foreign ownership, regarding the establishments in the Special Economic Zones. These flexibilities will ensure greater inflow of foreign capital, improved business to traditional low-value added sectors, and enhance the reliability of the Government. A signal increase in business relating to intellectual property has been predicted (Enz, 2009, p. 563).
International franchising can prove to be of great benefit in achieving growth and branding. The fast-food franchise giants, such as McDonald’s and KFC, were the pioneers in exporting the business-format franchise model to markets outside the US (Enz, 2009, p. 408). These stalwarts of international franchising have presently established themselves in a large number of nations. Furthermore, these companies have been imitated by other hotels and the majority of the industries that engage in franchising. Selecting high quality franchise partners is a crucial factor in the international markets. Several of these companies have realised that the selection of financially strong, well-established, and operationally sound franchise partners can effectively ensure the success or failure of the entire venture (Enz, 2009, p. 409.).
The budget and economy hotels have provided accommodation alternatives at a large number of price points.
