More fascinating is the fact that the Mayans use these caves and tourists can retrieve important Mayan treasures from these caves. Indeed, most of Belize caves are sacred sites for the Mayans and visitors can identify numerous ceremonial artifacts, numerous carvings, and skeletons of sacrificial victims of religious rites. The second largest underground chamber in the world resides in Belize although the thick rainforest cloaking the karst hills of Belize makes it difficult to explore cavess. Indeed, measuring 600 ft. wide by 1600 ft. long the Chiquibul cave found in Belize is the largest cave room in the western hemisphere. Although cave exploration in Belize is a dangerous affair, there are safe and magnificent caves to explore, which include Actun Tunichil Muknal, Barton Creek Cave, St. Hermans Cave, and Ben Lomans caves.
From this paper it is clear that the Belize Barrier Reef is the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere that accommodates the best-stocked light-tackle fishing grounds of the Caribbean. The Great Barrier Reef has warm and clear water that supports other entertaining events like water sports, fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
